Boys

T.J. Sheehan (2021, Attack, South Side) – Denver: Sheehan is a sneaky good attackman from South Side. His elite skill and IQ = serious production on the offensive half of the field. Sheehan’s craftiness exists when he’s on and off the ball. Let him get a step on you and he’s gone. Look away for a second and the ball is in the back of the net. Sheehan is primed for a big Junior year and a recent verbal commitment to Denver will give him that added confidence needed to get past the juggernauts in Nassau Class B.

Luke Mangan (2021, Attack, Sachem East) – St. John’s: Mangan is a big boy! The southpaw from Sachem East is a tough cover at the high school level. Doing a good job using his body to gain leverage and quality shots on goal, Mangan is trending up going into his Junior year. It definitely helps Mangan is playing for a very good Sachem East team who’s got a great offensive coordinator that gets his boys to share, play hard, and play unselfish. Excited to see what’s to come for Lukey boy in 2020.

Christian Maisel (2021, Midfield,  St John the Baptist) – Rutgers :  Standing at 6’2” and with Suffolk blood running through his veins, Maisel is an athletic midfielder who’s ready to breakout. Maisel is super athletic in the middle of the field with the ability to run by short sticks at well, sling shots on the run, and dish when he draws the slide. Maisel is fun to watch in transition with gazelle esq speed. Don’t sleep on the SJB boys this upcoming season!

Zach Kroog (2021, Attack, Bayport) – St. John’s: Kroog is a gritty, hard nosed attack man who goes to the cage hard, finishes the ball harder, and throws a fist pump even harder. This kid plays with great energy and is very good around the goal. He’s got good intangibles on the field, such as effort plays on ground balls and being tough around the crease. With a young and upcoming team in Bayport, expect Kroog to assume a bigger leadership role in 2020 and assert himself as one of the better Suffolk attack man in his class.

Peter Traina (2021, Attack, Westhampton)- Stony Brook: Traina is a skilled, righty attack man from Westhampton Beach. Good hands and ability to finish in transition, Traina can really fill up the cage. Traina is a big strong kid, who really puts mustard on those step down shots. Westhampton is up and coming, a squad that has what it takes to make noise in 2020. They’ve been knocking on the door in Suffolk Class C. Will they make it to counties in 2020? With Traina’s help, we are excited to see.

Dylan Sohm (2020, D, Seaford)- Manhattanville: Dylan Sohm is an absolute bruiser. This kid isn’t afraid to bring the body and protect his crease. A strong, thick young man from Seaford, Sohm plays the game with an edge. Surround Sohm at Seaford, is a skilled young group that has been waiting a long time to make a mark in Nassau lacrosse. Hopefully Sohm can lead the defense to upset city in 2020.

Jared Morales (2021, Midfield, Port Washington)- Stony Brook: Morales is a Port Washington product with good shake and ability to win his 1v1 match-up. Let Morales run wild in transition and he’ll make you pay. Morales likes to sling it on the run and make sure he’s got a fresh celebration to match. Port Washington is a sleeping giant in Nassau. Hopefully Morales and the boys will help them continue to awake and get to the top of the pack.

Girls

Liv Vergano (2021, Defense/Midfield, West Babylon)- Army:  Olivia is such a hard working, determined young woman who has such a drive.  As a middle schooler, she was on the varsity softball team and switched over to lacrosse, the rest is history! Needless to say, her work ethic is outstanding , and very coach able. West Babylon is lucky to have her.

Juliana Palumbo (2021, Defense , ESM)–  Marist: Juliana is a strong, physical defender from ESM. She’s got very strong skills making her an asset in the clearing game, between the 30’s and when getting away from pressure. Juliana isn’t afraid to get her hands on people and protect her 8. Happy for Juliana on her commitment and wish her Sharks the best in 2020!

Kiara Feibusch (2021, Attack, Kings Park)- Pitt: Kiara is a hardworking and very dedicated young lady. Her athleticism and tenacity on the field will help her take her game to the next level at PITT. She is a fearless competitor who rises to the challenge of playing top level competition

Erin O’Grady (2021, Goalie, St. Anthony’s)- Michigan: This is a great pickup for Michigan.  O’Grady is very active, very lively, and she’s a great teammate. One of the reasons why O’Grady is a good goalie is because she’s a good communicator and when you mix in the fact that she’s a good ball stopper, the Wolverines got a steal.

Olvia Cruthers (2021, Attack, Kellenberg)- Manhattan: Olivia is a super hard worker who always pushes herself. She is very strong and she’s  a really good finisher, but most of all, she’s a leader on whatever team she’s on.
