Jesse Alfano St. John one of the best two sport players in all of Long Island. He just concluded another sensational football season at Westhampton High School. The Hurricanes went 8-2 and most of their games weren’t even close. Outstanding team efforts against Harborfields and ESM gave Westhampton two wins by a combined score of 76-7. St. John was all over the field; on BOTH sides of the ball! He played terrifically at wide receiver for an explosive Hurricanes offense, and was a big-time linebacker for their shutdown defense. The team’s run came to an end in the semis against East Islip, but Hurricane fans still have one more season to watch Jesse play.
Jesse’s football abilities speaks for themselves, but where he truly is at his best is on the lacrosse field. The Westhampton lacrosse team has been getting better each season during Alfano’s tenure at the school. 2019 saw the team crack double digit wins for the first time since his arrival. Playing alongside his brother Jordan, Jesse looks to lead the team back to the playoffs during his senior year. Next year, he will be staying on the Island as he will be attending Stony Brook University. There is a ton of excitement surrounding the Hurricanes and before the season begins we hear from their star senior.
