Q. How did it feel winning the Suffolk County Championship last season?

A. Winning a county championship was a great feeling. I was proud of the way our team came together even though we didn’t achieve our ultimate goal of Winning a State Championship.

Q. Has it hit you yet that this will be your last season playing at Ward Melville?

A. It really hasn’t hit me that it’s my last season of Ward Melville lacrosse. I never thought time would fly by so fast. I’m excited to have the chance to play one more year with the kids I grew up playing with.

Q. How did you decide to continue playing lacrosse at UNC?

A. I decided to continue my playing career at UNC because I really loved the atmosphere on campus. I’m lucky to have the chance to play for an awesome coaching staff and a phenomenal program.

Q. What are you most looking forward to when you get to UNC?

A. I’m looking forward to playing for a great coaching staff. UNC plays a great schedule and has great facilities. I’m also looking forward to competing and helping the program win games anyway I can.

Q. Who are some of the people who have helped you get to where you are today?

A. My coaches have been really influential in my playing career. Coach Negus, Muscarella, and Murphy at Ward Melville, Coach Zummo with Legacy, and all of my Three Village coaches have been great. My dad has been awesome, training me nonstop and working with me nonstop to improve my game.

Q. Being the goalie, do you feel any added pressure in the tight games to come up with saves?

A. Yes I feel there is always pressure to make saves. In tight games it’s just magnified.

Q. How would you describe yourself as a player/teammate?

A. I would describe myself as a leader who will try and help my team in any way I possible can.
