With still another year left in a high school, she is still going through the process of deciding where she will be playing in college. She is continuing to work to become the best player she can be. Although the 2020 season is cancelled, her competitive nature will have her even more motivated to come back next season more ready than ever. Be on the lookout for Anna to have a breakout year on the offensive end in 2021. Keep reading about Anna down below as she also discusses playing for Cold Spring Harbor in an interview with the LILJ.

Q. Are there any schools in mind that you’re considering playing for in college?

A. I am definitely planning to play lacrosse in college. Academics are a top priority, so I am holding out for a handful of schools that have the best combination of academics and athletics for me. I have had visits at several schools, and am looking forward to finishing up the process when virus restrictions are lifted.

Q. What is it like playing for such a winning program like Cold Spring Harbor?

A. It is amazing to be a part of such an impactful team. It is a prime example of how hard work in season and in the offseason as well as our team’s family environment can lead to great things. Coming off the field with a win for the State Championship in Cortland last Spring was an incredible feeling, and that feeling has motivated us to work even harder towards defending that title again. Over the last couple seasons, I have loved the challenge of playing with and against some of the best future college players in the country every day in practice.

Q. How would you describe yourself as a player?

A. I would describe myself as extremely competitive and willing to put in all of the work in order to be the best that I can possibly be.

Q. Are there any positives you can take from having a year off?

A. As tough as the situation is, it has taught me not to take a single game, practice, or film session for granted. I never would have chosen this in a million years, but I have used to this time to work hard on taking my game, strength, and fitness to the next level, and it has made me even more determined to have a great year next year.

Q. How motivated are you to come back next season even stronger?

A. Although it’s hard to accept not having a season right now, you can bet that we are going to be working even harder going into next year. Of course, losing this year’s insanely talented group of seniors will be tough. However, having had such team success in the past, I know that other schools will be gunning for us next year which only gives me more motivation to keep putting in the work in the off season so we will be ready for spring 2021!
