FLG is excited to announce that it is offering a unique experience for high-school aged players in its program: a College Road Tour! For the past two years, Mike and Corey have gone on the road in February to check out some of the area’s best college lacrosse programs, as well as share the FLG philosophy with those coaches and learn what type of student each school wants. Now, FLG is offering an incredible opportunity to its players. FLG is hiring a coach bus and inviting its studletes to join them on a seven-day, four-state tour to visit 27 area schools during February break!
“The mission of our College Road Tour is simple—familiarize our players with the schools, coaching staff and programs within driving distance of Long Island, so we can help each of them find the right school,” says Corey Winkoff. “It’s a once in a lifetime opportunity!”
The FLG Road Tour consists of meetings with coaching staff, attending games, attending practices and campus visits. In addition to learning more about the schools they might be considering, FLG program players will get an opportunity to:
- Build relationships
- Have a great life experience
- Grow friendships
- Get closer with teammates
- Experience big-time college sporting events
- Spend time with the FLG Directors and coaches
- See for themselves the differences between schools
- Learn what they really want in a college
- Gain valuable experiences that will serve them well as they go through the recruitment process
