The U.S. Women’s U20 Training Team has been finalized, and with nearly 100 of the top lacrosse players trying out and 42 players making the team, eight players who have made the team have Long Island roots and are currently playing at some of the most premier collegiate programs across the country. Among the eight Long Island born players include Caitlin Barrett (Manhasset, Duke), Kylee Colbert (North Shore, Boston College), Catherine Erb (Shoreham-Wading River, Dartmouth), GraceAnn Leonard (Shoreham-Wading River, UNC), Abigail LoCascio (St. Anthony’s, Northwestern), Emma LoPinto (Manhasset, Florida), Allison Reilly (Sayville, Army), and Madison Taylor (Wantagh, Northwestern).
The next time the training team will be in action is in August for training camp and they will be competing in the USA Lacrosse Fall Classic in October which will lead to the roster being finalized to represent the United States next summer at the World Lacrosse Women’s U20 Championship in Hong Kong.
