MJBROWN · March 4, 2025 · 2 min read

Getting to number 22 in the top 25 preseason rankings it’s the Dalers of Farmingdale in Nassau Class A. This is a team filled young talent that already has plenty of varsity experience. Last year they had an overall record of 15-4 and appeared in the county championship game for the second straight year and now they make the move into the power conference, placing them among the top teams in the county where they’ll look to compete for another trip to the counties and potentially the Long Island Championship.

Farmingdale’s offense features one of the most prolific players in the sophomore class in attacker Juliann Brzeski, coming off of a dominant freshman year where she accounted for 72 points with 48 goals and 24 assists. The lefty Brzeski will be the quarterback of their offense as she can score the ball from all over the field. Their starting attack also includes junior Jessica Reo (Lemoyne) who was a feeding machine last year with 29 assists as well as 18 goals for 47 points. Adding to their young underclassmen talent is sophomore Regan O’Connor, one of the game’s elite defenders in the 2027 class who plays midfield for the Dalers and was tied for second on the team in points with 57, scoring 43 goals with 14 assists. A team that had no problems finding the back of the net, Farmingdale was the top scoring team in the county at 12.7 goals per game, although this year the offense will look to fill the void of 2024 graduates Ashlinn Kelly, Isabella Recce and Emily Markovina. Defensively is where they saw a number of graduates from last year’s team, but they do return senior defenders Brenna Kelly and Emma Savino, playing in front of sophomore goalie Megan Caputo who is in line to be their starting goalie replacing 2024 graduate Dakota Capolino. Caputo a top flight goalie in the 2027 class played a small sample size as a freshman and made 23 saves. The regular season opens up for the Dalers on March 27th in a non-league matchup against Calhoun, followed by another non-league game against the Huntington Blue Devils of Suffolk Class A. Their first league game in the power conference will be March 31st against Manhasset.
