LILJ Girls Winter League Week 2 Recap: Game Write-Ups, Analysis, Player Performances

Week 2 of the LILJ Girls Winter League delivered another action-packed weekend, featuring a full slate of 36 games played across Saturday and Sunday between every division, and six teams taking the field for the first time this winter. From start to finish the level of play continued to rise, between a number of tightly matchups, high-tempo play, and a number of eye-popping individual performances taking center stage. With another week of pool play in the books, let’s go back and recap the slate of games from this past weekend in the second week of action!

Team 91 Crush 2031 vs YJ Patrone-Cristodero 2031

Opening up the Saturday slate of games it was a clash of 2031 club programs between 91 Crush and YJ Patrone-Cristodero. Team 91 Crush 2031 used a strong opening half and balanced scoring to earn a 13–9 win over YJ Patrone–Cristodero 2031 in an up-tempo matchup. Team 91 set the tone early, jumping out to an 8–3 lead at the break by capitalizing on possessions and converting key looks on the offensive end. YJ Patrone showed resilience throughout the half, but Team 91’s ability to control momentum proved to be the difference. For 91 it was their first game in pool play to open up the middle school division 1-0. Leading the charge for Crush offensively, Holly Schenkel delivered a dominant performance, leading all players with four goals and an assist while setting the tone offensively. Harley Leake was a force in the midfield, posting three goals while also making an impact defensively and going a perfect 6/6 on the draw circle. Reese Chirico added two goals, while Scarlett Lentini scored once along with an assist. The trio of Siena Massaro, Piper Mancuso, and Ally Jo Brady scored one goal each. Defensively Antonella Speciale was a game-changer, scooping up a game-high five ground balls and also forcing two turnovers. Mancuso was also a disruptor on defense with two takeaways. The engine of the offense for YJ continues to be Christina Marrone, finishing with another three goal performance along with an assist while consistently generating quality looks. Raya Needle showed poise around the cage, scoring twice and capitalizing on her opportunities. Anja Peters added two goals while Poppy Carey and Evie Duswalt each contributed timely finishes. Defensively as well as in the ride, Morrone has been just as impactful, with two caused turnovers along with two ground balls giving YJ extra offensive possessions.

YJ Hoschel 2032 vs FLG Navy 2031

It was a clash between sixth grade and seventh grade as the 2032s of YJ Hoschel took to the field for the first time in the LILJ Winter League, facing the 2031s of FLG Navy and this one went right down the final seconds! YJ Hoschel rallied from what was once a four goal deficit with a strong second half to edge FLG 2031, 12–11, in a tightly contested matchup that swung momentum late. FLG controlled the tempo early, jumping out to a 7–4 halftime lead and an 8-4 advantage early in the second half behind efficient offensive execution. YJ Hoschel responded after the break with an eight-goal second half, applying steady pressure and capitalizing on key possessions to complete the comeback and secure the one-goal win in the final 30 seconds of the game. On the YJ Hoschel side, Reese Henderson was the difference-maker, posting five goals and an assist in her winter league debut, with the biggest goal coming in the last 30 seconds on a second shot opportunity which proved to be the game winner to complete the four goal comeback as she led the offensive surge in the second half. Isabella Ferraresi, Mackenzie Daly, and Kinsley Hamill provided timely scoring in the second half to help spark the comeback, while Makenna Lawrence Mackenzie Dunn and Bryn Schwinn each added a goals to keep the offense balanced. Evelyn Lauckhardt facilitated well with two assists, and in goal, Zoe Gieser stepped up with four saves and a 50% save percentage playing in the second half, saving her best save for last in the closing seconds helping YJ Hoschel complete a tremendous rally. For FLG, Bailey Meyer delivered a standout all-around performance, leading the offense with four goals and three assists while also contributing at the draw circle going 4/5. Jillian Powers added three goals and was a consistent threat dodging downhill, while Allison Wisnowski chipped in a goal and an assist. Mairead Vu and Kate O’Brien each found the back of the net, and Ani McBrearty battled in goal, finishing with nine saves while facing heavy second-half pressure.

GC Tradition 2029 vs Team 91 Thunder 2029

GC Tradition 2029 put together a commanding, wire-to-wire performance to earn a convincing 15–3 win over Team 91 Thunder 2029. Tradition set the tone early with a seven-goal first half, controlling possession, winning battles in the middle of the field, and capitalizing on high-quality offensive opportunities. They continued to apply pressure after the break, outscoring Team 91 8–2 in the second half to pull away and close out the decisive victory. Kaila Hansman led the offensive charge with four goals and an assist, consistently finishing around the crease and creating problems for the defense. Grace Wheeler was equally impactful, posting four goals and an assist while showing patience and poise on the offensive end. Emily Bennett had a well-rounded day with two goals and three assists, helping facilitate ball movement and keep the offense flowing. Maddie Leder added two goals, while Ava Reni contributed a goal and two assists to round out a balanced scoring effort. On the draw Reese Goettelmann was a perfect 3/3, and in goal, Maggie Baulch and Isabella Dellaratta combined for seven saves, allowing just three goals. On the other side for 91 Thunder, Lina Lagravinese struck for two of the three goals, with the third scored by Nora Miller. The 91 defense saw Logan Gialella record a game-high four takeaways with two ground balls, while Madison Schimkus also added three ground balls along with a caused turnover on defense.

Manhasset JV vs YJ Curcio 2031

Manhasset JV earned a hard-fought 12–9 victory over YJ Curcio 2031 to secure their first pool play victory in a competitive matchup that featured strong individual performances on both sides. Manhasset held a slim 5–4 edge at halftime before finding another gear in the second half, outscoring YJ Curcio 7–5 to pull away down the stretch. Consistent pressure, balanced scoring, and timely defensive stops proved to be the difference as Manhasset closed out the win. Chloe Tolentino was the offensive catalyst for Manhasset, pouring in a game-high six goals on seven shots to lead them to a victory. Abigail Bauer delivered an all-around performance with two goals, two assists, five ground balls, and four draw controls, controlling the tempo in the midfield. Ellie Nicosia, Julianna Stepanian, Olivia Whang, and Isabel Whang each found the back of the net, giving Manhasset scoring depth throughout the lineup. The defense saw Emerson Post create three caused turnovers and also record three ground balls, with Eliana Sokolof also coming up with two takeaways. In goal, Violet Sulzbach was steady, making seven saves to anchor the defense and help preserve the lead. Despite the defeat for YJ Curcio they showed why they are a premier team in the ’31 class with their ability to stay within striking distance while playing 2-3 years up. Offensively it was Charlotte Hoschel leading the charge with three goals, consistently generating scoring chances and attacking the defense. Madeleine Dircks made her presence felt with a goal, two assists, and three draw controls, while Madison Bratton with two goals and an assist, Zoey Verderosa with one goal and Ashley Manolakes with one goal added key contributions.

Team 91 Crush 2031 vs GC Tradition 2031

Two of the islands top club programs in the ’31 class went head-to-head as 91 Crush faced Tradition in a matchup that certainly lived up to the hype! 91 Crush edged GC Tradition by a 10–8 final in a nail-biter that saw momentum swing throughout both halves. The teams were deadlocked 4–4 at halftime, but Team 91 found separation in the second half by outscoring Tradition 6–4, using balanced scoring and strong play in transition to secure the win. 91 Crush saw Holly Schenkel deliver a second dominant offensive performance in as many games, leading all players with four goals and two assists consistently creating problems for the opposing defense. Harley Leake added another strong showing with three goals and an assist with two draw control wins, while Piper Mancuso chipped in a goal and was a ground ball machine with four gb’s, making an impact on both ends of the field. Adding three wins on the draw without a loss was Reese Chirico, and in the clearing game Francesca Antonelli was efficient at getting the ball up to the 91 offense and also scooped up two balls off the ground. On the opposite side Liesl Leder paced Tradition’s offense with five points on three goals and two assists, consistently driving the attack and generating scoring chances. Brae McDonough added three goals and controlled the middle of the field with three ground balls and a draw control, while Claire Coelen and Erin Groarke each found the back of the net. In cage, Allison Wong was outstanding, making 13 saves on 23 shots to keep Tradition within striking distance throughout the game.

GC Tradition 2029 vs Legacy Blue 2030

In a matchup between 29s and 30s, GC Tradition earned a hard-fought 10–7 win over Legacy Blue after pulling away in the second half of a competitive matchup. Tradition held a slim 6–5 edge at halftime before tightening up defensively and outscoring Legacy 4–2 over the final frame to secure the victory.

Tradition’s offense was led by a balanced attack, with Kaila Hansman turning in a strong all-around performance, finishing with two goals and two assists. Reese Gottelmann was impactful in multiple phases of the game, posting two goals and an assist while also contributing on the draw circle. Ava Reni added two goals and Ella Melendez provided a spark with two goals of her own, helping Tradition maintain offensive pressure throughout the game. Defensively, Marlee Cohen and Stella Trillhaase stood out by controlling ground balls and disrupting Legacy’s rhythm, while Isabelle DellaRatta came up with key saves in the second half to limit Legacy’s comeback chances.

Legacy was paced offensively by Kaylee Webb, who led all scorers with four goals on four shots while also contributing four ground balls. Brooklyn Paulus added a goal while Alexa Stein and Liberty Favor each found the back of the net. In cage, Cali Sorok and Olivia Mullins combined for eight saves, keeping Legacy within striking distance despite Tradition’s late surge.

Legacy Blue 2030 vs YJ Arnone 2030

Two of Long Island’s 2030 club programs went head-to-head as Legacy Blue faced YJ Arnone. This one saw Legacy pull away in the second half to earn an 10–7 victory over YJ Arnone after a well contested opening frame. Legacy held a narrow 4–3 lead at halftime before finding another gear offensively, outscoring Arnone 6–4 in the second half to create separation and secure the win. Legacy was led by a strong offensive showing from Kaylee Webb for a second game, who finished with three goals and two assists while consistently generating high-quality looks and converting on free-position opportunities. Kasey Cangelosi was another key contributor, tallying two goals and an assist. Hailey Paulus added two goals, and Jordan Hamill made her presence felt as she scored once and also came away with four draw controls to spark Legacy’s transition game. Defensively, Brooklyn Paulus and Kate Salva helped apply pressure with caused turnovers, limiting Arnone’s rhythm in key moments. YJ Arnone 2030 showed resilience throughout the contest and was paced offensively by Sally Ferruzzi, who scored twice, and Mariah Ferruzzi, who posted a goal and an assist. Marina Judice also contributed a goal and an assist, while Maeve McNamara and Ava Park each found the back of the net. In goal, Charlotte Wenk turned in a strong performance with nine saves, keeping Arnone within striking distance despite Legacy’s second-half push.

FLG Navy 2028 vs GC Tradition 2028

FLG Navy 2028 put together a complete performance on both ends of the field to earn a convincing 12–6 win over GC Tradition 2028. After building a 6–3 lead at halftime, FLG matched Tradition goal-for-goal in the second half, maintaining control of the tempo and closing out a strong opening weekend showing. Offensively, FLG Navy was paced by a balanced and efficient attack. Addison Held led all scorers with four goals on four shots, finishing with poise around the crease. Ireland Pinner orchestrated the offense with a standout all-around effort, posting one goal and three assists while consistently creating opportunities for teammates. Kennedy Murnane was another key contributor, tallying two goals and two assists. Jillian Ganci, Maeve McNamara, Madeline Kavanaugh, Stella Efstathiou, and Claire Dello-Iacono each found the back of the net, showcasing FLG’s depth across the offensive unit. Defensively, Dello-Iacono was a standout with six ground balls, helping FLG win key possession battles. Goalies Kolby Marder and Molly Giordano each tallied four saves with a 57% save percentage as they limited Traditions scoring runs. Despite the loss for Tradition They were led offensively by Ava Oppedisano, who scored twice, and Summer Stack, who posted two goals and an assist while also leading the team with three draw controls. Zoey Wood added a goal and was active defensively with two caused turnovers, and Kiley Barry chipped in with a goal of her own.

YJ Arnone 2030 vs Team 91 Thunder 2029

In the second game of the day for both teams, YJ Arnone delivered a strong, performance to secure an 11–6 win over 91 Thunder, pulling away after a competitive first half to take control in the second. After leading 6–3 at the break, YJ Arnone continued to dictate play with efficient offense and steady defensive pressure to close out the victory. Offensively, YJ Arnone was led by a balanced group effort. Emily Tobin powered the scoring with a game-high three goals, consistently finishing her opportunities. Emerson LaPenna delivered two goals and an assist, while Evelyn Matina played the role of facilitator, tallying one goal and three assists and helping keep the offense flowing. Maeve McNamara contributed a goal and an assist, and Ava Park chipped in with a goal. Additional scoring came from Mia Arnone, Mariah Ferruzzi, Victoria Rudis, and Alexis Gibbons, highlighting YJ Arnone’s depth. On the circle it was Aubrey Travers securing a team high three draw controls with a winning percentage of 75%. Defensively Keagan Williams came away with four ground balls and Charley Roth created two turnovers. In goal, Charlotte Wenk anchored the defense with an excellent showing, making 12 saves on 18 shots to post a 67% save percentage. Team 91 Thunder showed flashes throughout the contest, led offensively by Ashley Basso, who found the back of the net three times. Charlotte Fortier added two goals and was active on the draw, while Kyla McGuire contributed a goal and solid two-way play. Madison Schimkus recorded an assist and Logan Gialella helped battle for ground balls, coming up with three.

Team 91 Frenzy vs Jesters Pirreca 2029

The eighth graders of 91 Frenzy took on the ninth graders of Jesters  and this one saw 91 Frenzy control the pace from start to finish, earning an 8–3 victory over Jesters after building a 3–0 halftime lead and pulling away with a strong second half. Frenzy’s balance on both ends of the field and ability to capitalize on key possessions proved to be the difference in the matchup. Offensively, Team 91 was powered by Elle Meyer, who put together another strong performance with three goals while consistently drawing pressure on the eight-meter, finishing 3-for-4. Sienna Krawczyk added two goals and was efficient around the cage, while Emma Regan, Ella Murtha, and Brianna Lechmanski each found the back of the net. Murtha also contributed an assist, helping keep Frenzy’s offense moving and unselfish throughout the contest. In the midfield and defensive areas, Frenzy received strong two-way play from Ashley Callahan, who collected four ground balls, and Maria Melkonian, who added three ground balls of her own. Brianna Lechmanski also made her impact felt with three ground balls and one caused turnover, while Elle Meyer Antonia Gerbino and Lynda Santamaria all added a caused turnover. In goal, Frenzy got steady play from Antoinette Valente, who stopped all three shots she faced, and Maryann Scarnati, who made two saves in the first half to help set the tone. Jesters showed resilience in the second half, with Kylie Gorman leading the offense with two goals. Grace Rentz added a goal, while Sophie Angelo dished out one assist. On defense Shannon O’Shea forced two turnovers and Olivia Wong controlled the draw circle with four draw controls. Goalie Stella Fallon turned in a stout effort in net, making nine saves despite facing constant pressure, as Jesters continued to battle until the final whistle.

YJ Babst 2030 vs Top Tier

In the first pool play game for YJ Babst, they showed why they’re the nations top 2030 club team with a 14–7 win over Top Tier, jumping out to an early advantage and never looking back. YJ controlled the tempo from the opening whistle, scoring nine goals in the first half to build a commanding 9–5 lead at the break. Their balanced offense and ability to capitalize on possessions proved decisive, as they added five more goals in the second half while holding Top Tier to just two. Addison Chartrand delivered a scintillating offensive performance, leading the way for YJ Babst with a standout six-point effort, finishing with five goals from a number of angles and an assist while consistently pressuring the Top Tier defense. Vivienne Speidell and Gabby Surdi added a strong all-around game with two goals and an assist each. Ally Voss made her impact felt on draws, winning key possessions and adding two goals. Adding to the offensive fire power of YJ was Julia Babst with one goal and one assist, and Brianna Tomicic won 2/3 draws. The defense saw Alaina Hollingsworth scoop up three ground balls and in net in the second half Shay Falvey anchored the defense with six saves on eight shots for a 75% save percentage. Top Tier Free Agents showed flashes offensively, led by Sophia Caramico, who continues to be a scoring machine, with three goals on four shots, going 3/3 on 8-meters. Skylar Wegiel contributed a goal and an assist, while Austyn Cerasi and Katie Kassap each found the back of the net once.

Team 91 Roar 2029 vs Team 91 Avalanche 2028

Team 91 Roar 2029 put together a dominant wire-to-wire performance in their opening pool play game, rolling past Team 91 Avalanche 2028 by a final score of 18–2. Roar set the tone early with a relentless first-half attack, scoring 13 unanswered goals to take complete control of the game. The pressure continued after the break as Roar added five more goals to cap a commanding team effort on both ends of the field. Addison Fox led was nothing short of spectacular for Roar with a game-high seven points, finishing with four goals and three assists while consistently creating scoring chances in settled and transition play. Juliet Diorio was equally impactful, posting six points on three goals and three assists and adding a team-high nine ground balls to showcase her all-around presence. Michaela Grever delivered a big offensive outing, contributing five points with two goals and three assists, while Jaidyn Marchitto (three goals, one assist) and Avah Robinson (three goals) provided additional scoring depth. Robinson was all over the field scrapping for ground balls, securing a team high of seven, and Sarah Flynn chipped in three points and six ground balls of her own, highlighting Roar’s dominance in possession and hustle plays. On the draw it was Riley Williams going a perfect 3/3. The caused turnovers for Roar came in bunches led by the five forced by Diorio followed by four from Robinson, three from Fox and two each from Samantha Miale and Sarah Flynn. For 91 Avalanche, it was Ella Stuart and Kelsie Lanning scoring their two goals, with also three takeaways by Stuart. Defensively Julianna Ortiz led the team in ground balls with four.

Team 91 Roar 2029 vs YJ Babst 2030

The number one club teams in the country in the Class of 2029 and the Class of 2030 went toe-to-toe as Team 91 Roar faced YJ Babst in a game that was absolute cinema! The two teams battled to a hard-fought 7–7 draw in a competitive, back-and-forth matchup that featured momentum swings in both halves. Roar jumped out early, using a strong first half to take a 4–2 lead at the break, and led by as many as three goals  but YJ Babst responded with urgency after halftime, outscoring Roar 5–3 in the second half to even the score by the final horn.

Roar’s scoring came from a balanced effort, with Jaidyn Marchitto leading the way with two goals, one of which included one for the highlight reel with a marvelous behind-the-back finish which gave 91 their largest lead of the game. Avah Robinson added two goals and made an impact on both ends of the field, while Riley Williams chipped in two goals and controlled the draw circle with two draw controls. Juliet Diorio contributed on each side of the field, finishing with a goal, five ground balls, and a caused turnover. Defensively Vanessa Novelli was everywhere, as she picked up three ground balls forced three turnovers, and was automatic in the clearing game. In goal, Lily Gentile anchored the defense with an a very impressive 11-save performance, turning aside 61% of the shots she faced to keep Roar in the game during YJ Babst’s second-half push.

YJ Babst was powered offensively by Addison Chartrand, who finished with three points on two goals and an assist. Gabrielle Surdi added two goals which included a clutch game-tying goal in the second half assisted by Chartrand to even the score at 6, and Ally Voss delivered a key all-around performance with a huge game-tying goal which resulted in the 7-7 final score, an assist, and two draw controls. Brianna Tomicic and Evelyn Avery also found the back of the net, while Jada Leonard and Juliette Smith were active between the lines, combining for six ground balls.

Both goalies made timely saves in a physical, evenly matched contest, with Gentile’s steady presence for Roar and clutch stops from Shay Falvey and Delainey Sefton helping YJ Babst stay within striking distance. In the end, disciplined defense and timely scoring from both sides resulted in a well-earned draw between the top two programs in their respective classes.

Top Tier vs Team 91 Avalanche 2028

Top-Tier Free Agents put together a dominant performance on both ends of the field, rolling past Team 91 Avalanche 2028 by a 17–2 final. Top Tier set the tone early, jumping out to a 7–2 halftime lead before completely shutting the door defensively in the second half, outscoring Avalanche 10–0 to secure the convincing win.

Top Tier’s offense was firing from all angles, led by Juliann Brzeski (Stony Brook), who finished with four goals on six shots while also contributing six ground balls in an all-around effort. Sophia Caramico added three goals, consistently capitalizing on scoring opportunities, while Skylar Wegiel played a key facilitator role with two goals and two assists. Additional offensive support came from Kelsey Ambrosio with two goals, Carly Amato with two goals, and Katie Kassap, who posted a strong three-point outing with a goal and two assists. In the midfield, Fiona Haddock made her presence felt with a goal and a game-high six ground balls and four caused turnovers, helping Top Tier control possession throughout. Between the pipes, Ruby Krainman anchored the unit with eight saves and an 80% save percentage, while Maggie McCabe was perfect in relief, stopping all four shots she faced to preserve the second-half shutout.

For Team 91 Avalanche, Ella Stuart stood out despite the result, accounting for both of her team’s goals with a goal and an assist while adding four ground balls and three caused turnovers. Brooke Filosa found the back of the net once, while between the lines Madison Paccione scooped up three ground balls and caused two turnovers. Goalie MaKayla certainly kept 91 within reach, playing in the first half where she recorded 10 saves with a 59% save percentage.

YJ Gaghan Torre 2027 vs FLG Navy 2028

YJ Gaghan Torre 2027 edged FLG Navy 2028 in a tightly contested matchup, holding on for an 9–7 victory after leading 6–2 at the break. YJ Gaghan set the tone early with efficient offense and strong possession play in the first half, then withstood a late FLG push in the second half to secure the one-goal win. Violet Ortenzi (Furman) led the way for YJ Gaghan with a standout offensive performance, scoring three goals on three shots to pace the attack. Leah Cohen (LIU), Megan Florio (Marist), Caitlin Masera (Stony Brook), Ellie Speidell, and Dani Torre (Stony Brook) each chipped in goals, showcasing the team’s balanced scoring. Grace Jabour (Southern Connecticut) played a pivotal role as a facilitator, finishing with four assists and consistently creating quality looks for teammates, while Masera also made her presence felt across the field with four ground balls and multiple draw controls. In goal, Ava Kalmar was a difference-maker, turning aside 12 shots for a strong 63% save percentage and coming up with several key stops during FLG’s second-half surge. FLG Navy was led offensively by Madeline Kavanaugh and Stella Efstathiou, who each finished with three goals and were constant threats around the cage. Claire Dello-Iacono added a goal and was active in transition, while Ireland Pinner and Abby O’Brien helped drive the offense with timely assists. At midfield, Ashley Arizonis came away with multiple draw controls, and ground ball work, helping FLG claw back into the game late. Kolby Marder provided three key saves in the second half with a 50% save percentage.

Westhampton JV vs Team 91 Frenzy 2030

Westhampton JV pulled away in the second half to secure a 10–6 win over Team 91 2030 Frenzy after a competitive first half that saw Westhampton take a narrow 5–4 lead into the break. The game featured strong pace and physical play early, but Westhampton’s balanced scoring and defensive pressure proved to be the difference as the game wore on. Henley Tuthill led the way for Westhampton with a game-high three goals, consistently finishing opportunities and setting the tone offensively. Kasey Cangelosi added a strong all-around performance with two goals and an assist, while Karstyn LoRusso chipped in two goals and was active creating chances. Ava Futerman made her presence felt as a distributor, recording two assists, while Aurora Recchion dished out an assist as well. Katy Lourenco stood out in the midfield with a goal and a team-high five ground balls for the Hurricanes. The defense saw Sienna Krawzcyk be very efficient in the clearing game. In goal, Alina Cooper delivered a steady performance, making eight saves on 14 shots to anchor the Westhampton defense during key stretches. Team 91 Frenzy was paced by Brianna Lechmanski, who finished with two goals and was a constant threat on the offensive end. Elle Meyer was a playmaker with one goal and two assists, while Ashley Callahan contributed a goal and an assist and controlled the midfield with four draw controls. Avery Pescatore impressed in transition and on the ground, scooping up five ground balls, and Katerina Huber and Ella Murtha each found the back of the net. The goalie combination of  Antoinette Valente and Maryann Scarnati combined for nine saves.

Jesters Pirreca 2029 vs Westhampton JV

In the second game of the day for both Jesters and Westhampton JV, it was Jesters using a balanced offensive effort and strong second-half execution to earn a 12–8 victory over Westhampton JV. The game was competitive throughout, with Jesters holding a 6–3 advantage at halftime before matching Westhampton goal-for-goal in the second half to close out the win. It was Kylie Gorman for the Jesters who turned heads as she posted a monster six-point performance with two goals and four assists, quarterbacking the offense and keeping the opposing defense on their heels. Grace Rentz added an all-around offensive showing with a goal and two assists, and Sophie Angelo finished twice on efficient looks. Westhampton JV showed resilience and fight, led by Grace Hart, who scored twice to pace the offense. Filippa Halvorsen added a goal and an assist and was active on both ends of the field, while Karstyn LoRusso and Katy Lourenco each found the back of the net and battled through the midfield. Brooke Stoehr and Sienna Krawczyk provided strong defensive and ground-ball efforts, and Alina Cooper made 13 saves in goal with a save percentage of 52%, delivering another strong performance.

Mount Sinai vs Smithtown East

Mount Sinai who entered this contest 2-0 in pool play put together a dominant performance on both ends of the field, pulling away in the second half to secure a 14–3 win over Smithtown East Varsity. After building a 5–1 lead at halftime, Mount Sinai turned up the tempo coming out of the break, outscoring Smithtown East 9–2 in the second half to firmly take control of the game. Georgetown commit Sophia Masone led the way offensively for Mount Sinai with a five-goal performance, consistently finding space and finishing on the crease. The eighth grade phenom Gabby Surdi added a strong all-around showing with three goals, four shots on goal while tallying four ground balls and one caused turnover. Olivia Romeo (Stony Brook) chipped in two goals and an assist. Lila Callahan (Hofstra) and Sabrina Asadurian (Stony Brook) each found the back of the net, and Addison Chartrand contributed with an assist while helping move the ball efficiently. On the circle Callie Friedman secured three draw controls for the Mustang offense. Defensively, Avery Pescatore and Delaney Ramos were impactful, combining for nine ground balls to help Mount Sinai control possession. Smithtown East was paced by Bowen Schmitt, who scored twice and won two draws for the offense. Evelyn Avery added a goal, while Kloe Ferreri recorded two assists. In goal, Ryan Dart (Cortalnd) recorded nine saves for the Bulls.

Ward Melville JV vs Team 91 Thunder 2029

Opening up the Sunday slate of games it was Ward Melville JV and the 2029s and Team 91 Thunder. This one saw Ward Melville set the tone early and held off a second-half push from 91 Thunder to earn a 10–5 victory. Ward Melville jumped out to a 6–1 lead at halftime behind a balanced offensive attack and strong control of possession, then matched Thunder’s four-goal second half to secure the win. Brianna Tomicic led the way for Ward Melville with a game-high four goals, consistently finishing her chances and converting key opportunities in the eight-meter. McKenna Negus added a strong all-around performance with three goals, three draw controls, and an eight-meter conversion, while Kailey Finley chipped in with a goal and two assists to spark the offense. Dani Raupp and Sophia Ciappa also found the back of the net, and Mia Buglino contributed two assists to keep the ball moving. Defensively, Emily Higgins and Harper Karp were active between the lines, combining for six ground balls, Keira Flynn, Harper Karl and Scarlett Usinger created turnovers to limit Thunder’s transition. In goal, Madeline Butler made four saves and anchored the defense when Thunder tried to gain momentum. Thunder was led offensively by Ashley Basso, who finished with two goals and an assist, and Lina Lagravinese, who added a goal on two shots. Gabriella Dantes and Brooke Valentine also scored, while Ellie Triolo and Nora Miller each recorded assists. On defense Logan Gialella continues to be a ground ball and takeaway machine, leading all players in the game with seven gb’s and three caused turnovers. Adding four ground balls and three caused turnovers of her own was Kiera Brown, helping 91 stay competitive throughout the game.

YJ Maget Bert 2028 vs Commack

YJ Maget Bert 2028 delivered a complete performance on both ends of the field, pulling away for a 14–4 win over Commack as they continue to roll through pool play and now move to 3-0 this winter. Maget came out cruising early with an 8–1 halftime advantage, using strong ball movement, efficient finishing, and consistent defensive pressure to control the pace of play. Commack showed more fight in the second half, but Maget matched them goal for goal to close out the victory. The Maget offense was led by Nora Ruddy, who continues to be must-watch, this time putting together a seven point performance with four goals and three assists, consistently creating scoring chances for herself and her teammates. Molly Hyland was just as impactful, finishing with two goals and a game-high four assists while also contributing four ground balls and four caused turnovers in an all-around effort. Finley Newell added two goals and an assist, while Jamie Medico chipped in two goals three caused turnovers and three ground balls. Additional scoring came from Kloe Ferreri, Ilaria Florence, Bowen Schmitt, and Natalie Yoo, showcasing their depth offensively. Defensively, Maget was disruptive throughout, forcing takeaways and limiting second-chance opportunities as Charlotte Cavalone Bowen Schmitt and Jennavive Lineman were active between the lines. In goal, Juliet Johnson anchored the defense with eight saves on 12 shots for a strong 67% save percentage. Commack was led offensively by sophomore Ashley Arizonis, who scored twice and added three ground balls, and by Samantha Benedict (VCU) and Sarah Franke (UConn), who each finished with a goal and an assist. Defensively Arizonis and Gabriella Brown (Springfield) each forced two turnovers.

Rocky Point vs Sacred Heart

In a Suffolk vs Parochial battle it was Rocky Point against Sacred Heart going right down to the wire! The Eagles edged out the Spartans 9-8 after trailing at halftime. Sacred Heart came out strong in the opening half, taking a 6–5 lead behind efficient finishing and active play on both ends, but Rocky Point’s balanced scoring and second-half adjustments proved to be the difference. Rocky Point responded in the second half with four goals, holding Sacred Heart to just two while finding timely finishes. Abigail Hansen led the charge with three goals, using her speed and aggression to break down the defense. Colbie Burke played a key role in the win, tallying one goal and three assists, while Kaleigh Moeller (FSU) added two goals and an assist and was strong in the draw circle. Jenna Giorlando and Scarlett Rogers each added a goal for the Eagles. Defensively, Rocky Point forced key turnovers down the stretch, the biggest coming from Teagan Trentowski (ESU) with Sacred Heart looking to tie the game in the closing seconds. Sacred Heart was paced offensively by Rhylee Kirchner (Stetson), who orchestrated the offense with three goals and two assists, consistently generating offense and creating opportunities for her teammates. Freshman Kylie Gorman continues to excel for the Spartans, connecting for two goals which included her showcasing her tremendous speed to accelerate past the defense to get to the cage. Adding one goal and making an impact defensively with two caused turnovers was fellow freshman Katie Kassap, and in the ground ball department sophomore Maeve Ledwith was a vacuum, scooping up what seemed like every loose ball, totaling seven for the game.

Comsewogue vs William Floyd

It was Class B Comsewogue taking on Class A William Floyd and this one saw Comsewogue pull out a hard-fought 7–5 victory over Floyd in a competitive matchup that featured strong defensive play and timely scoring on both sides. Comsewogue jumped out to a 5–3 halftime lead and held firm in the second half, matching William Floyd’s two goals after the break to secure the win. Comsewogue’s balanced attack proved to be the difference, as seven different players found the back of the net. Eighth grader Lily Arnone led the way with a standout all-around performance, recording one goal and two assists while adding three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Gianna McNulty (Binghamton) chipped in a goal and an assist, while Megan Brideson (Rollins), Madison Moccio (FDU) Nicolette Parisi, Alanna Ragone, and Paige Knott each scored a goal. Brideson was especially impactful between the lines, leading the team with four ground balls and contributing in the draw circle. Goalie Isabella Borruso (Central Connecticut) anchored the defense with seven saves on 12 shots with a 58% save percentage, helping Comsewogue close out the 7–5 win in a tightly contested game. William Floyd stayed within striking distance throughout the game, sparked offensively by Emma DiMaio (Stony Brook) who finished with a team-high two goals. Samantha Seaman (Georgian Court), Farryn Marchese, and Bailey Meyer each added a goal, with Seaman and Marchese also converting on 8-meter opportunities. Riley Meyer forced two turnovers to lead the team in takeaways.

Eastport South Manor vs South Side

In a Nassau vs Suffolk showdown South Side and Eastport South Manor battled to an 8–8 draw in a back-and-forth contest that featured momentum swings in both halves. Eastport South Manor came out strong early, building a 6–3 lead at halftime, and lead as large as four, but South Side responded with a five-goal second half to even the score and force the tie. Eastport South Manor’s offense was paced by Kate Valenti (Saint Leo), who delivered a three goal game on four shots while also contributing three ground balls and key work in the draw circle. Alexa Quiery was another major factor, finishing with two goals and an assist, while Taylor Murtha (Sacred Heart) added a goal and an assist of her own. Caitlin Oliver and Hayden Duswalt each found the back of the net, helping ESM build its early cushion. Defensively, Makayla Coyle (Pace), Samantha Ragonese, and Mya Quinn were active between the lines, each scooping up three ground balls to help maintain possession. South Side showed resilience after the break, led by a strong offensive showing from their freshman midfielder Juliet Diorio, who recorded a game-high four goals and an assist on six shots to spark the comeback, including the game-tying goal with just over a minute remaining to secure tie. Skye Korten (Albany) chipped in with two goals and an assist, while Bobbie Creo (Holy Cross) played a pivotal role with a goal and two assists, including a key 8-meter conversion. Charly Testerman added a goal, and Olivia Mayerhofer picked up an assist as South Side spread the offense. Defensively, Molly Gominiak and Mae Finora each collected multiple ground balls.

South Side vs William Floyd

In the second of two straight games for the Cyclones, South Side put together a complete performance on both ends of the field, earning an 11–4 victory over William Floyd after building a 5–1 halftime lead and pulling away with a strong second half. The Cyclones controlled possession throughout and consistently capitalized on offensive opportunities to keep William Floyd at bay. Albany commit Skye Korten led the way offensively for South Side, turning in a dazzling outing with four goals and two assists and making it look easy. Juliet Diorio continued her strong play, finishing with two goals and an assist while applying pressure in transition. Madalyn Napolitano and Caitlin McNulty (UMass Lowell) each added goals, while Summer Stack chipped in two goals and was impactful in the draw circle, helping South Side gain extra possessions. Olivia Mayerhofer played a big facilitating role, dishing out four assists to keep the offense flowing, and Bobbie Creo (Holy Cross) added a goal. Defensively, South Side was anchored by a strong showing from goalie Tara Cody, who made nine saves on 13 shots for a 69% save percentage. On the other side William Floyd was led offensively by future Stony Brook Seawolf Emma DiMaio, who scored two goals while Bailey Meyer and Riley Meyer each found the back of the net once with Brooke Filosa adding an assist.

Harborfields vs Wantagh

The Tornadoes of Harborfields took on the Warriors of Wantagh in a Suffolk vs Nassau matchup, and this one saw Harborfields pull away in the second half to earn a 14–9 victory over Wantagh in a fast-paced and competitive matchup. After holding a narrow 5–4 lead at the break, they found another gear coming out of halftime, outscoring Wantagh 9–5 in the second half by capitalizing on strong ball movement, balanced scoring, and key defensive stops. The Harborfields offense received stellar offensive games from Harper Kleet and Jamie Medico, who each finished with four goals and an assist, consistently pressuring the Wantagh defense and converting high-quality looks. Nora Ruddy had a major impact in transition, scoring three goals while controlling the draw circle with three draw controls. Taylor Cavanaugh (Towson) added two goals and helped stretch the defense, while Kasey Clegg chipped in a goal and three ground balls. They also saw Lyla Droskoski record two assists and Devyn Slattery (Wesleyan) add an assist and a strong defensive effort. In goal, Ava Kalmar and Molly Giordano combined for eight saves, providing timely stops to maintain momentum and preserve the lead. On the other side Wantagh was paced by SBU commit Sabrina Asudurian, who delivered a standout performance with four goals, consistently creating scoring chances. Madeline Drago (UMBC) added a strong all-around game with two goals and two assists, while Mia Dankenbrink (Siena) and Camryn Naus each found the back of the net. Defensively, Juliet Mercus  was active with two caused turnovers, to help generate possessions.

Tsunami JV vs Jesters Pirreca 2029

The girls from Darien CT took on the 2029s of Jesters Pirecca in what was an exciting and fast-paced game that went right down to the final minutes and it was Tsunami edging out Jesters 13-11 to earn their third win in pool play and remain undefeated. Tsunami jumped out to a 7–4 lead at halftime and was able to hold off a strong second-half push from Jesters, matching them goal for goal down the stretch to secure the two-goal victory. Tsunami was led by a balanced offensive effort, with Ellery Kraus pacing the attack with three goals and an assist, consistently creating offense in settled sets. Kelty Shea added two goals and played a physical role between the lines, while Avery Tamberrino chipped in with a goal and an assist. Grace Willis and Caroline Reidy each contributed a goal and an assist, and Caroline Galligan was a key distributor with three assists. Defensively, Scarlett McCabe stood out with three caused turnovers, helping limit Jesters’ transition opportunities. Jesters was sparked by another big performance from Kylie Gorman, who finished with four goals, showcasing a strong ability to get downhill and score from a various of angles, keeping the team within striking distance throughout the game. Brooke Benati delivered a strong offensive game with a hat-trick while Alice Meaney and Shannon O’Shea each recorded a goal and an assist. At the draw circle, Olivia Wong was in control with seven wins and not a single loss, giving Jesters multiple extra possessions. Defensively the combination of Leah Corey and Grace Laura were a big spark in the clearing game with their efficiency at carrying the ball up to the offense. Despite the loss, Jesters showed resilience and strong defensive effort, but Tsunami’s early lead and balanced scoring proved to be the difference.

Tsunami Varsity vs Garden City

Two of the top high school teams in the tristate area took to the field Sunday afternoon as the Blue Wave of Darien faced the Trojans of Garden City. Tsunami Varsity pulled away in the second half to earn an 11–7 win over Garden City after a competitive opening frame. Tsunami held a narrow 4–3 lead at halftime, but a strong seven-goal second half allowed them to create separation and control the pace down the stretch. Offensively, Tsunami was led by Cameron Pokorny (UVA) who delivered a standout all-around performance with three goals and two assists while also impacting the game between the lines. Morgan Hite (Cornell) finished with three goals, converting all three of her free-position attempts, and Lilly Davenport (Villanova) added two goals on three shots. The speedy Anna Von Kennel (Florida) chipped in with a goal and an assist, while Quin Chandler (Harvard) and Peyton Joyce (Dartmouth) each found the back of the net. Tsunami’s depth and ball movement were evident, as multiple players contributed to the scoring effort. In the cage Addison Horn came up with six pivotal saves with a save percentage just under 50%. Garden City was paced by Michaela Molgano (UPenn), who netted two goals on four shots.  Averie Smith (Yale) added a goal and an assist, while Ella Clark, Ali Bennett (Holy Cross) and Kimberly Colucci (William and Mary) each scored once. In goal, Teagan Gately provided a strong effort with nine saves to keep Garden City within striking distance.

Tsunami JV vs Westhampton JV

In the second game of the day for Tsunami they put together a complete performance on both ends of the field, rolling past Westhampton JV 19–3 after building a commanding 9–1 halftime lead to go a perfect 4-0 in pool play. Tsunami’s pace, ball movement, and defensive pressure set the tone early and carried through a 10-goal second half to seal the convincing win. The offense was led by a balanced and explosive group. Kelty Shea delivered a standout outing with four goals and an assist, consistently finishing inside while drawing defensive attention. Quinlan MacColl was a catalyst all over the field, posting two goals and three assists for a game-high five points. Sofia Bravo-Ferrer added four goals on four shots, while also contributing between the lines. Caroline Galligan facilitated the offense with four assists, and Bo Kennedy chipped in with a goal and three assists. Caitlyn Sherman added a strong scoring presence with three goals, while Ellery Kraus and Ada Rossi contributed on both ends. Defensively, Tsunami controlled possessions and limited Westhampton’s opportunities, forcing turnovers and winning ground balls throughout the game. For Westhampton, Grace Hart finished with a goal and an assist, while Karstyn LoRusso and Raelin Dorn each found the back of the net. GC Tradition 2029 vs Ward Melville JV

GC Tradition picked up a strong 11–6 win over Ward Melville JV, using a balanced offensive attack and steady defensive play to control the game from start to finish. Tradition jumped out to a 6–3 lead at halftime and matched Ward Melville goal for goal in the second half to secure the victory. Grace Wheeler who has been finding the back of the net at ease, led the way offensively with a stellar performance, finishing with four goals and an assist while consistently creating scoring chances. Kaila Hansman added two goals, providing a reliable presence in the middle of the offense. Ava Reni, Maddie Leder, Ella Melendez, Abigail Smith and Reese Gottelmann each chipped in goals, with Gottelmann also making her impact felt between the lines by scooping up five ground balls and contributing defensively with two caused turnovers. GC Tradition’s defensive effort was anchored by strong team play and timely stops in goal. Maggie Baulch and Isabelle DellaRatta split time in the cage, combining for five saves and limiting Ward Melville’s opportunities during key stretches. In front of them, players like Marlee Cohen contributed on the defensive end by winning ground balls and forcing turnovers which included a great play laying her body on the line and drawing a charge. Ward Melville JV saw Kailey Finley and Maddox Woreth, who each score twice, while Dani August Raupp and Brianna Tomicic added goals. Tenley Muscarella paced the team with two assists, and goalie Madeline Butler made seven saves for the Patriots.

Ward Melville Varsity vs Wantagh

The Patriots of Ward Melville put together a well-rounded team performance in an 11–5 win over Wantagh, building a 5–1 halftime lead and pulling away with a strong second half. Ward Melville’s balanced scoring and ability to control possession proved to be the difference as they limited Wantagh’s offensive chances throughout the contest.

Offensively, Nicole Manolakes one of the island’s top 2029s led the way with a four-point performance, finishing with three goals and an assist. Maeve McKay (Bryant) was a key playmaker, tallying a goal and two assists to keep the offense flowing. Mia Modica (Hofstra) and Keira Pirozzi (Marist) each scored twice, applying consistent pressure from the midfield, while Elizabeth Speidell, Giavanna Parente, and MacKenna Negus added timely goals. Aliya Leonard (Yale) played an important role as a distributor, recording two assists, and eighth grader Jada Leonard was a difference maker especially defensively and between the lines. In the cage Sydney Millett made five saves with a 50% save percentage.

Wantagh’s Sabrina Asudurian (Stony Brook), posted two goals and an assist while drawing multiple fouls and creating offensive opportunities. Brigid Reilly added two goals, and Marykate O’Callaghan chipped in a goal as Wantagh found more success in the second half. Defensively, Averie Rissland and Madeline Gonzalez combined for 10 saves in goal.

Sayville vs Westhampton Varsity

Two of Suffolk County’s contenders squared off as the Golden Flashes faced the Hurricanes. In this one Sayville delivered a well-played, balanced performance to secure an 11–4 victory over Westhampton, jumping out to a 5–2 lead at halftime and continuing to control the game in the second half. Sayville’s ability to control possessions and make the most of their opportunities proved to be the difference as they outpaced Westhampton on both ends of the field.

Offensively, Jenna Messina (Coastal Carolina) was a big spark with a four-goal effort, consistently finishing chances and putting five shots on goal. Olivia Razzano (UMass) added a strong all-around performance with two goals and an assist, while Morgan Farrell (Hopkins) matched that production with a goal and two assists. Dylan McNamara (FSU) chipped in two goals, and Sophia Buffardi (UNC) contributed a goal and an assist while also controlling the draw circle with five draw controls to help Sayville maintain momentum. Adding one goal and three ground balls was Carly Cangelosi (Rutgers). The Sayville defense was just as sharp with Julia Lilienthal (Vanderbilt) stopping five shots and finishing with a 71% save percentage.

On the Westhampton side Lily Johnson, Mia Mastropierro, and Maiya Boughal (Dartmouth) each found the back of the net, with Boughal converting on a free-position opportunity. Tierney McEntee (LIU) added an assist and on defense freshman Summer O’Neill created two turnovers.

Team 91 Crush 2031 vs FLG Navy 2031

The 2031s were back on the field Sunday evening between 91 Crush and FLG, and this contest saw 91 Crush set the tone early and never looked back, earning a 15–4 win over FLG Navy 2031 after jumping out to an 11–2 halftime advantage. The Crush offense moved the ball well and capitalized on possessions, while their defensive pressure limited FLG’s scoring chances throughout the contest. Leading the way for Team 91 was Holly Schenkel, who continues to impress, posting three goals and an assist, consistently finishing opportunities and posing as a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. Reese Chirico was a key facilitator, posting one goal and three assists while also contributing four ground balls. Harley Leake added three goals of her own, showing her ability to finish in traffic, Scarlett Lentini chipped in two goals and an assist and Reilly Hagerstrom connected for two goals. Scoring one goal each was Harper Rogler, Madison Degnan, and Ally Jo Brady to round out a well-balanced scoring attack. Defensively Kelsey Lynch and Antonella Speciale helped control possession with multiple ground balls and defensive stops, allowing 91 to keep the pressure on. FLG Navy was led offensively by Quinn McKinley, who scored twice, and Jillian Powers, who found the back of the net once and worked hard on the draw with three draw controls. Kate O’Brien added a goal, while Lorelei Brush picked up an assist. In goal, Ani McBrearty faced heavy volume and made 10 saves.

St. Anthony’s 2026 vs Manhasset Varsity

Two of the premier teams went toe-to-toe as the Friars seniors battled Manhasset, and this one certainly delivered the goods! St. Anthony’s held off a late push from Manhasset to secure an 8–7 win in a tightly contested matchup that saw momentum swing throughout the game. After trailing 2-0 early, the Friars went on a 7-2 scoring run the rest of the first half to build a 7–4 halftime advantage behind efficient offensive execution and strong team defense. While Manhasset made things interesting in the second half, St. Anthony’s composure on both ends proved to be the difference in a one-goal finish.

The St. Anthony’s attack was ignited by Madison Sussi (UMass) who delivered a hat-trick and an assist, consistently creating scoring chances and finishing when it mattered most. Anna Christie (Notre Dame) was equally impactful, posting two goals and two assists while showing great vision and balance as a playmaker. Emma Speed (Florida) added a goal and an assist, stretching the defense with her movement and shot selection, while Anna Kosciusko (UChocago) and Mischa Fernandes (Stony Brook) each chipped in timely goals to round out the scoring. Defensively, St. Anthony’s leaned on strong effort across the field. Kelsey Gorman (Siena) was a force in the middle, collecting four ground balls, causing turnovers, and helping the Friars control key possessions. In goal, Gabrielle Lemieux (LIU) and Sophia Moschitta (Stony Brook) split time and combined for nine saves, making several critical stops as Manhasset pressed late.

Manhasset was paced offensively by Harper Lambert (Duke) who finished with a team-high three goals, including multiple strikes that fueled the second-half comeback attempt. Danielle Perfetto (Brown) added two goals, while Greyson Denihan (BC) contributed a goal and an assist. In cage, Ruby Cacioppo (Stanford) was outstanding with 13 saves for a 62% save percentage, keeping Manhasset within striking distance until the final whistle.

Excelsior vs St. Anthony’s 2028

Excelsior Free Agents put together a balanced performance to earn a 13–7 win over St. Anthony’s, jumping out early and maintaining control throughout the contest. Excelsior dictated the game in the first half with efficient ball movement and timely finishes, taking a 7–4 lead into the break, and followed it up with another productive second half to keep St. Anthony’s at bay.

The Excelsior offense was powered by Juliann Brzeski (Stony Brook) who once again delivered a big outing with four goals and an assist, consistently finding space and converting high-quality looks. Caragh Smith was equally impactful as a facilitator and scorer, finishing with two goals and three assists while directing traffic on the offensive end. Molly McNamara added two goals, and contributions came from all over the lineup, including goals from Kayla Innes, Emma Fernandes, Kelsey Ambrosio (FDU), Sophia Enea, and Austyn Cerasi, showcasing Excelsior’s depth and ability to spread the scoring. Defensively, Excelsior applied steady pressure and controlled the middle of the field, while goalie Saylor Hopper anchored the unit with seven saves and a 64% save percentage, making key stops to halt momentum.

Sparking the Friars offense was sparked by the attack combination of Sophia Flanagan and Zoe Nolan with Flanagan delivering a hat-trick and Nolan striking for two goals. Rounding out the scoring was Grace Murphy and Kate Dolphin each adding one goal, and leading all players with four caused turnovers was Isabella Russo.

Harborfields vs St. Anthony’s 2027

In a thrilling back-and-forth showdown, St. Anthony’s 2027 and Harborfields battled to a 10–10 tie, with both teams trading goals and momentum throughout the game. Harborfields jumped out to an early three goal lead in the first half, but St. Anthony’s responded with a balanced offensive effort to keep the game even heading into halftime.

St. Anthony’s was paced by recent Hofstra commit Keira Steck, who tallied three goals, and Beau Davi (BU) and Melania Moreo (Binghamton), each contributing two goals and an assist. Chloe Mullady (Georgetown) added two goals of her own, while Estee Mihos chipped in with a goal and key draws. The Friars displayed strong ground ball work, led by Julia Anderson with five ground balls, as she was all over the field securing possessions, and creating two takeaways each was Sierra Riepe (Georgetown) and Jackie Galli (FSC).

Harborfields relied heavily on another big time performances from Nora Ruddy, who dominated the attack with five goals and consistently drew defensive attention, and Towson commit Taylor Cavanaugh scored two goals and dished out two assists. Adding to the offense was Jamie Medico, Emily O’Brien, and Lyla Droskoski each finding the back of the net. Dishing out one assist each included Harper Kleet, Audrey Donnelly and Lillian Monteleone. Harborfields’ goalie duo, Ava Kalmar (6 saves) and Molly Giordano (5 saves), combined for 11 saves, keeping the game within reach and ensuring a thrilling finish.

Eastport South Manor vs Comsewogue

Closing out the week two slate on Sunday evening was a Suffolk Class B matchup between Eastport South Manor and Comsewogue. The Sharks of ESM edged out the warriors of Comsewogue 5-3 in a game defined by strong defensive play and timely scoring. ESM struck early and maintained enough offensive pressure to hold off a late Comsewogue surge. ESM’s offense saw their five goals scored by five different players which included Caitlin Oliver, Kate Valenti (Saint Leo) Taylor Murtha (Sacred Heart), Mya Quinn, and Molly McGuire (Cortland). Tallying one assist each was Murtha, Quinn and Alexa Quiery. Julia Ver Straten, Amelia Grausso and Lydia Deptuch anchored the net, combining for 9 saves, including clutch stops that helped preserve the lead. The team also excelled on the ground, with Sarah Langdon (Binghamton) securing three ground balls and key defensive positioning helping limit Comsewogue’s scoring opportunities.

Comsewogue relied on Kamryn McCrary (JMU)  who tallied a goal and an assist, and Nicolette Parise and Megan Brideson (Rollins) who each found the back of the net. Lily Arnone and Parker Puglisi facilitated the offense with assists, while Paige Knott led the team with two caused turnovers.
