The final weekend of the LILJ Girls Winter League delivered everything you could ask for to close out the season, as champions were crowned amid epic matchups and high-level competition. From wire-to-wire battles to clutch moments under pressure, players rose to the occasion with big-time performances that defined the final week of play. It was a fitting finish to a winter slate that showcased the depth of talent across Long Island and set the stage for what’s ahead heading into the spring. Comsewogue vs Harborfields
Opening up the first game on Thursday night it was a Suffolk clash between the Warriors of Comsewogue and the Tornadoes of Harborfields where Comsewogue earned a hard-fought 10–7 victory over Harborfields in a back-and-forth matchup that came down to the final minutes. In the first half both teams were trading goals with Comsewogue taking a 6-5 lead into the half, followed by holding Harborfields to just two second half goals while scoring four of their own to secure the win. The Comsewogue offense saw Kamryn McCrary (JMU) lead the way with a game-high five goals, while eighth grader Lily Arnone delivered a three goal performance. Gianna McNulty (Binghamton) added a goal and two assists to keep the offense flowing and delivering one goal and one assist was Parker Puglisi. The Comsewogue defense saw tremendous play from Gabby Sohngen (Manhattan) who had a team-high five ground balls and three caused turnovers and Caroline Scully (Rider) who recorded two ground balls and forced two turnovers. In goal it was Isabella Borusso (Central Connecticut) tallying eight saves with 53% save percentage. For Harborfields they were powered once more by a dominant performance from Nora Ruddy, who finished with four goals and an assist, consistently being able to pick apart the defense. Her 23 points for Harborfields this winter puts her in the top 10 in total points among all players in the league. On the draw Ruddy made an impact as well, winning 75% going 3/4. Jamie Medico added a goal and an assist while also controlling the ground game with a team-high five ground balls and creating four caused turnovers. Rounding out the scoring for Harborfields was Lyla Droskoski and Lillian Monteleone scoring one goal each. Defensively, freshman Emma Glick put together a standout game with two ground balls, two caused turnovers and was very efficient clearing the ball to the Harborfields offense.St. Anthony’s 2028 vs Sacred Heart
The St. Anthony’s sophomores put together a complete performance on both ends of the field, rolling past Sacred Heart by a 15–3 final. The Friars set the tone early with a seven-goal first half and continued to apply pressure after the break, outscoring Sacred Heart 8–2 in the second half to pull away. Ball movement and depth across the lineup fueled the offensive surge, as St. Anthony’s consistently created high-quality looks and capitalized in transition. Fabiana Gallagher led all scorers with a big day, finishing with four goals and two assists, while Melania Moreo (Binghamton) struck for four goals with an assist for a five point evening. Kate Dolphin added two goals and an assist and was active on both sides of the field with three caused turnovers on the defensive end. Grace Murphy Zoe Nolan, Isabella Russo and Sarah Ullrich each chipped in key goals, with one assist each coming from Nolan, Ullrich, Madison Dorsey, Anneliese Judice and Sophia Sheridan to keep the offense flowing. Defensively the Friars also saw two caused turnovers from Juliana Rochford. Sacred Heart was paced by goals from Rhylee Kirchner (Stetson), Kylie Gorman, and Maeve Ledwith with Ryan Martin dishing out an assist. Defensively Ella Saulle created two turnovers and in goal the duo or Jordan Solis and Olivia Manago (Duke) made six saves each.Mt. Sinai vs Rocky Point
Two rivals went head-to-head in the semifinals of the Varsity A Division between Mount Sinai and Rocky Point and this one did not disappoint! Mount Sinai edged Rocky Point in a tightly contested matchup, pulling out a 12–11 win after a back-and-forth battle that saw multiple momentum swings throughout the game. After falling behind by two goals on the first half, Rocky Point closed out the final five minutes of the first half with a 4-0 scoring run to lead 8-6 at the break. However, Mount Sinai found themselves in the same scenario in the second half, down two with just over four minutes remaining where they scored the final three goals of the game to earn a comeback victory which sent them to the championship game!
Offensively, Mount Sinai saw freshman Lainie Friedman, deliver with three goals and an assist, while the eighth grader Gabby Surdi struck twice which included the clutch go-ahead goal right in front on the cage with 2:30 remaining to put the Mustangs in front for good. The offense continued for Sinai with Sophia Masone (Georgetown) adding two goals and an assist, Addison Chartrand scoring twice, and Olivia Romeo (Stony Brook) contributing a goal and an assist. Scoring one goal each was Ava Ciofrone and Raegan Chamberlain with Lila Callahan (Hofstra) dishing out two assists, one of which leading to Surdi’s go-ahead goal. In the ground game Ciofrone led the team with four ground balls and had three draw controls with the biggest win on the draw coming with just over four minutes remaining to help spark the rally. Defensively it was the trio of Surdi, Masone, and Friedman each creating multiple caused turnovers to give the team extra possessions.
Rocky Point was paced by standout performances from Cadence Adamo (USF) and Kaleigh Moeller (FSU) , who each tallied three goals and an assist. Freshman Logan Poli added three goals of her own, while Sadie Hess and Abigail Hansen provided additional scoring with one goal each to round out the offense. On the draw Moeller was 4/6 for a 66% winning percentage and on defense it was Teagan Trentowski (ESU) leading the team in takeaways with three caused turnovers. In the cage for the Eagles it was Makayla Blaising totaling seven saves.
Excelsior vs Smithtown East
Excelsior Free Agents pulled out a thrilling 10–9 overtime victory over Smithtown East Varsity in one of the most competitive matchups of the evening! The two sides were deadlocked after regulation following a back-and-forth battle, with Smithtown East holding a slim 9–8 edge late before Excelsior responded to force overtime. In the extra frame, Excelsior capitalized on their opportunity and it was Kayla Innes who was the hero, sealing the win with overtime game winner!
Excelsior was led offensively by Caragh Smith, who finished with three goals, while Sophia Caramico and Sophia Enea each added two goals to provide consistent scoring pressure. It was an 8-meter strike by Caramico with four minutes remaining which tied the game at 9-9 ultimately sending the game into overtime. Austyn Cerasi was a key playmaker, tallying one goal and three assists, and Lila Choi and Emma Fernandes each chipped in two assists to keep the offense flowing. The game-winner in OT by Innes came on a second shot opportunity where she scooped up a big ground ball and came around X to score. Defensively, Excelsior won key ground ball battles led by Katie Kassap with three, and generated turnovers in crucial moments, as it was Sophia Enea and Caragh Smith with two takeaways each, helping swing momentum late and into overtime.
Smithtown East showcased a balanced attack of their own, led by Giavanna Figalora (Pace), who posted two goals and two assists, and Bowen Schmitt, who added two goals and an assist with two draw control wins. Riley Fleming (Marist) and Evelyn Avery each scored twice, while Fleming also made her presence felt defensively with strong draw going a perfect 3/3, and a game-high five ground balls. Rounding out the scoring was one goal scored by Kloe Ferreri. In the cage Ryan Dart (Cortland) recorded eight saves for the Bulls.
YJ Maget Bertolone 2028 vs Commack
In the second semifinal game of the evening in the Varsity A Division, YJ Maget put together a dominant performance on both ends of the field, pulling away from Commack for a convincing 17–6 victory, to advance to the championship game against Mt. Sinai. YJ set the tone early with a nine-goal first half, controlling possession, winning key ground ball battles, and consistently converting scoring chances. Despite a stronger second-half push from Commack, YJ Maget maintained its offensive pace and closed out the win with an eight-goal second half.
The Maget offensive igniter was Fabiana Gallagher, who delivered another standout performance in her second game of the night, this time tallying five goals and an assist, consistently finding space and finishing around the cage, making it look easy. Jamie Medico added four goals of her own for a big offensive night, while Jennavieve Lineman chipped in two goals and made an impact in the midfield with two draw controls. Scoring twice was Kloe Ferreri and Finley Newell contributed a goal and an assist, helping keep the offense balanced and difficult to defend. In goal was Morgan Krinsky in the first half and she anchored the defense with a strong outing, stopping five of six shots for an 83% save percentage to limit Commack’s scoring opportunities. Defensively, YJ Maget was active and disruptive, forcing turnovers and quickly turning stops into transition offense.
Commack showed resilience, particularly in the second half, with Sarah Franke (UConn) leading the way offensively with two goals, while Ashley Arizonis added two goals and an assist. Julia Parisi (Scranton) contributed two assists, and Gabriella Brown (Springfield) was active between the lines, collecting ground balls and competing on the draw.
Bayport Varsity vs Sayville
The last two Class C State Champions went head-to-head in the Varsity AAA playoffs between Sayville and Bayport and this one saw the Phantoms of Bayport edge Sayville in a tightly contested matchup, holding on for a 7–6 win after building a first-half cushion and fending off a late push. Bayport struck early and carried a 5–2 advantage into the break, using balanced scoring and strong defensive effort to control the tempo. Sayville responded with four second-half goals to make things interesting, but Bayport’s composure down the stretch proved to be the difference.
Offensively, Kailey Bruckner (Towson) led the way for Bayport with a game-high three goals, consistently creating opportunities and finishing when needed. Eva Carvalho (Albany) was instrumental in the attack as well, tallying a goal and two assists while facilitating ball movement and setting up teammates. Olivia Brady (Clemson), Kayla Bongiorno (Winthrop), and Liliana LiPuma (LIU) each added goals, helping Bayport spread out the scoring. Defensively they got strong contributions across the field, with Bruckner also making an impact between the lines by scooping four ground balls and drawing multiple controls. In goal, Peyton D’Angelo and Anastasia Cirone combined for key saves, limiting Sayville’s scoring chances in critical moments.
Sayville was led by Dylan McNamara (FSU), who finished with three goals and brought consistent pressure offensively. Sophia Buffardi (UNC) had a strong all-around performance with a goal, an assist, and a team-high seven ground balls with three draw controls while Grace Jabour (Southern Connecticut) added a goal and an assist. In the ground bal department Morgan Farrell (Hopkins) was also very active between the lines with four scoops off the ground.
Sayville vs Manhasset Varsity
In the second of two straight games for the Golden Flashes to close out Thursday night, Sayville pulled off an impressive comeback victory over Manhasset, rallying for a 12–11 win after trailing 9–4 at halftime in one of the most exciting games of the evening. Manhasset controlled the opening half with a fast start and efficient offense, but Sayville flipped the script in the second half, outscoring Manhasset 7–2 to force overtime with a dominant late push and it was ultimately Dylan McNamara (FSU) capping off the comeback with the game-winner in double overtime!Sayville’s comeback was led by a balanced offensive effort and strong play through the midfield. McNamara finished with three goals, saving her biggest one for last, providing a steady scoring presence, while Sophia Buffardi (UNC) matched her with three goals and controlled play between the lines with multiple draw controls. Morgan Farrell (Hopkins) and Carly Cangelosi (Rutgers) each added two goals, and Julianna Montalto (Arizona State) played a key role with a goal and two assists, helping spark the second-half surge. Defensively, Sayville increased its pressure after halftime, forcing turnovers and limiting Manhasset’s looks on cage. In goal, Victoria Alexander (Campbell) made timely saves to keep Sayville within striking distance, finishing with six stops. After weathering Manhasset’s strong first half, Sayville’s resilience and depth proved to be the difference, closing out a hard-fought win in a game that showcased effort, execution, and momentum swings on both sides.
Manhasset was paced offensively by Harper Lambert (Duke), who delivered a standout performance with five goals, consistently finding space and finishing opportunities. Michaela Filipski added a strong all-around effort with a goal and two assists, while Elim Yang (Princeton) chipped in two goals. Adding one goal each was Katie Murphy, Caroline Zublionis and Mia Gavin (Lafayette). Taylor Gordon and Grayson Denihan the two Boston College commits each contributed two assists, helping Manhasset build its early lead through ball movement and balanced attack.
YJ Curcio 2031 vs YJ Arnone 2030
The Saturday slate of games started off with a middle school club matchup between the 31s of YJ Curcio and the 30s of YJ Arnone. This one saw YJ Curcio come away with an 11–9 win over YJ Arnone in a competitive matchup that featured momentum swings and strong individual performances on both sides. Curcio held a slim 6–5 advantage at halftime and continued to apply pressure in the second half, answering every Arnone push to close out the two-goal victory.YJ Curcio was led offensively by Ashley Manolakes, who put together a standout performance with three goals and one assist, consistently finishing in tight spaces and displaying great off-ball movement, scoring off of assists. Charlotte Hoschel also delivered a three goal performance, showing her sharp shooting ability when she gets her hands free. Ariana Joe added two goals, while Brielle Ensel, Mariana Cohen, and Brianna Grever each chipped in a goal to give Curcio balanced scoring throughout the lineup. Molly McCabe and Olivia Garritano contributed assists and helped maintain possession during key stretches. On the defensive side Olivia Grecco was spectacular, coming away with four ground balls to lead the team along with two caused turnovers, while Addison Leopardi recorded three ground balls and was also a clearing machine with her ability to handle the ball under pressure and get the ball up to the offense. Also adding three ground balls each was Giuliana Mancini and Lilly Glick with also two caused turnovers by Mancini.
For YJ Arnone, Emily Tobin and Francesca Dickson were the driving forces offensively, each finishing with three goals. Tobin was active all over the field, generating shots and helping on the draw, while Dickson was a reliable finisher around the crease. Emerson LaPenna added an all-around performance with two goals and an assist, and Mia Arnone contributed a goal and an assist. Dishing out two assists was Evelyn Mattina and on the draw circle Aubrey Travers went a stellar 80% going 4/5. Scooping up three ground balls was Maeve McNamara and Mia Arnone with two caused turnovers coming from Francesca Dickson.
Westhampton JV vs Ward Melville JV
In the JV edition between the Patriots and the Hurricanes, Westhampton used a strong start and balanced scoring effort to secure a 10–7 win over Ward Melville in the final game of the winter for both teams. Westhampton jumped out to a 5–2 lead at the break and matched Ward Melville goal for goal in the second half to hold on for the three-goal victory.
Offensively, Westhampton was paced by Kasey Cangelosi and Karstyn LoRusso, who each finished with three goals. Cangelosi consistently found space to finish, while LoRusso was a force attacking downhill and creating scoring chances throughout the game. Ava Futerman added two goals, and Henley Tuthill and Raelin Dorn each chipped in a goal to round out a balanced offensive performance. Katy Lourenco played a key role as a distributor and in transition, tallying two assists and leading the team in ground balls with five. Defensively, Westhampton made timely stops to protect their lead, with LoRusso, Grace Chornoma, and Filippa Halvorsen applying pressure and forcing turnovers. Alina Cooper also anchored the defense in goal, making seven saves to help Westhampton close out the win.
Ward Melville was led by Dani Raupp and Kailey Finley, who each recorded two goals and an assist to keep the game within reach. MacKenna Negus helped spark the offense with two assists, while Mia Buglino, Maddox Woreth, and Tenley Muscarella each found the back of the net. Brianna Tomicic excelled in the midfield, controlling the draw circle with five draw controls and a winning percentage of 83% and collecting six ground balls. The combination of Maddox Woreth and Liv Marksberry were takeaway machines, with three caused turnovers each, while in the cage the last line of defense was Madeline Butler who stopped 10 shots for a save percentage of 53%.
GC Tradition 2029 vs Team 91 Frenzy 2030
In a 2029 vs 2030 matchup, it was the 29s of GC Tradition delivering a team performance on both ends of the field, pulling away early and never looking back in a 14–5 win over Team 91 Frenzy. Tradition set the tone in the opening half with six goals and continued to apply pressure after the break, outscoring Team 91 8–3 in the second half to seal the convincing victory.
The Tradition offense was led by a trio of standout offensive performances. Maddie Leder had a huge day, finishing with five goals and constantly drawing defensive attention. Kaila Hansman was equally impactful with three goals and three assists, serving as a catalyst in both settled offense and transition. Reese Gottelmann added a well-rounded performance with three goals and two assists, while Emily Bennett chipped in a goal and two helpers to keep the ball moving and the defense off balance. Ava Reni added two goals, helping Tradition build early separation. Emily McDonald put in a great defensive performance with lock-down one-on-one defense and winning the battles in the trenches with three ground balls as well as a caused turnover.
Team 91 Frenzy saw their five goals scored by five different players, including Elle Meyer, who also recorded an assist, Lynda Santamaria, Sienna Krawczyk, Maria Melkonian, and Avery Pescatore, who each found the back of the net. Deanna Perez and Antonia Gerbino worked hard in the midfield, combining for five ground balls and helping 91 battle in the fight for the 50/50 ground balls, while Santamaria came away with two caused turnovers on the defensive end.
YJ Hoschel 2032 vs YJ Patrone Cristodero 2031
We had a YJ vs YJ matchup with the 32s of Hoschel taking on the 31s of Patrone Cristodero! It was the squad of YJ Hoschel who came out firing and never letting up, rolling past YJ Patrone Cristodero by a 14–5 final to conclude the winter league with a win. Hoschel set the tone early with a dominant first half, jumping out to a 10–2 lead at the break and controlling possession, pace, and field position throughout the game.
Offensively, YJ Hoschel showcased impressive balance and depth like they’ve shown all winter. Claire Csajko once again led the way with three goals, consistently finding space and finishing efficiently. Isabella Ferraresi and Reese Henderson each added two goals, while Kinsley Hamill chipped in two more on strong looks around the crease. Makenna Lawrence and Julia Abiuso each recorded a goal and an assist, helping keep the offense flowing and the defense stretched. Taylor Mounce, Keira Corrigan, and Bryn Schwinn also found the back of the net in a well-rounded scoring effort. In goal, Hoschel received a strong performance from both Zoe Gieser and Rebecca Baas, who combined for eight saves with four each and a stellar 67% save percentage for Baas, and a very strong 57% save percentage for Geiser. Defenders Alice Goodwin and Charlotte McCaffrey put together great defensive performances with their ability to win one-on-one matchups and also in the clearing game. Ferraresi and Csajko displayed great activity in the ground game, securing a team-high four ground balls, followed by two gb’s each from Anna Golden, Elena Dooley and Alice Goodwin. In the caused turnover department Csajko and Taylor Mounce each forced two turnovers to lead the team.
YJ Patrone was led by Christina Morrone, who scored twice and battled hard in the midfield. Teagan Chamberlain, Charlotte Dennehy, and Evie Duswalt each added goals, while Alessandra Yoo picked up an assist. The team saw a number of players come away with multiple ground balls, with Callista Pappas scooping up three and Makenna DiMaio, Claire Golden, Charlotte Dennehy, Grace Arato, and Alessandra Yoo recording two ground balls each.
Legacy Blue 2030 vs Jesters Pirreca 2029
Legacy Blue rallied for a 13–12 win over Jesters Pirreca in a back-and-forth battle that came down to a strong second-half push. Jesters controlled much of the opening half, leading by as many as five goals and taking an 8–5 lead into the break behind balanced scoring, but Legacy flipped the momentum with eight goals after halftime to complete the comeback with the go-ahead goal scored by Julia Madsen with just over two minutes remaining to complete a spectacular comeback! The offense for Legacy was powered by Kaylee Webb with another massive game, this time delivering a five-point performance, finishing with three goals and two assists, while Kaylee Zummo added three points of her own with one goal and two assists and made her presence felt all over the field. Alexa Raio, Alexa Stein and Julia Madsen chipped in two goals each with the second one from Madsen coming in the biggest of moments. Rounding out the scoring was Hailey Paulus Kasey Cangelosi and Jordan Hamill each finding the back of the net once. On the draw Legacy got a strong game from Hamill who went 5/8 for a 62% winning percentage. In goal, Olivia Mullins provided a key spark in the second half, turning aside five shots to help slow Jesters’ surge and finishing with a save percentage of 56%. For Jesters Pirreca the offense came from a number of players with two goals each scored by Sophie Angelo, Ellie MacQuarrie, Brooke Benanti, and Daniella Tofano. Adding one goal a piece was Alice Meaney, Kylie Gorman, Grace Rentz and Allie Lizza. The lead facilitators were Kylie Gorman and Allie Lizza with two helpers each. Between the lines Gorman, Giuliana Flores and Mackenzie Anderson were all over the field, scooping up a combined 14 ground balls out of the 29 they had as a team. The defense saw multiple caused turnovers each from Tessa Antonetti and Daniella Tofano.FLG Navy 2028 vs Team 91 Avalanche 2028
Two 2028 club programs faced off between FLG Navy and 91 Avalanche and this one saw FLG Navy pull away for a 14–5 win over 91 Avalanche behind a commanding offensive performance and strong two-way play throughout the lineup. After a competitive opening half, FLG used an eight-goal second half to create separation and take control of the game.Addison Held led the charge with a game-high seven points, finishing with five goals and two assists, while Stella Efstathiou added four points of her own scoring twice and dishing out two assists, consistently keeping the defense on their heels. Claire Dello-Iacono also made a major impact all over the field, scoring twice while contributing with three ground balls and was a takeaway machine with a game-high five caused turnovers. Ireland Pinner chipped in two points with one goal and one assist while rounding out the scoring was Kalli Sakalais (Nova Southern) with two goals, and one goal each from Kennedy Murnane and Kiera McNamara. In addition to the five caused turnovers by Dello-Iacono, Heather Glykos added three takeaways and Maeve McNamara secured three ground balls.The team was anchored by Molly Giordano in the cage where she denied seven shots with a 58% save percentage.
91 Avalanche saw their five goals scored by five different players which included Ella Stuart, Delaney Diesso, Delia Pawlak, Brooke Filosa, and Kelsie Lanning. Dishing out two assists was Allison Karp while Madison Paccione added one helper. Between the lines Ella Stuart was everywhere, displaying tremendous grit and hustle with a game-high six ground balls and also four caused turnovers. In goal in the first half Makayla Blaising provided a strong stretch of play with eight saves and a save percentage of 57%.
Top-Tier vs GC Tradition 2028
The Top-Tier Free Agents edged GC Tradition by a narrow 8–7 margin in a tightly contested matchup that came down to the closing moments. Top-Tier jumped out to a 5–2 lead at the break, setting the tone early, before GC Tradition responded with a strong second-half push. Despite being outscored 5–3 in the second half, Top-Tier’s early cushion proved to be just enough as they held on late to secure the one-goal win.
Juliann Brzeski (Stony Brook) led the way for Top Tier with a standout performance, finishing with five points on four goals and one assist while consistently generating quality looks on cage. Sophia Enea added two goals, and Fiona Haddock and Kelsey Ambrosio (FDU) each chipped in a goal to round out a balanced offensive effort. In goal, Maggie McCabe was a major factor, turning aside 12 shots for a 63% save percentage and coming up with several key stops during GC Tradition’s late surge.
GC Tradition was paced offensively by Kiley Barry and Zoey Wood, who each scored twice, while Ava Oppedisano and Caileigh McDonough also found the back of the net. Summer Stack contributed on both ends with an assist and strong defensive pressure with four caused turnovers and Teagan Gately anchored the defense in net with 10 saves and a 56% save percentage.
YJ Friedman 2029 vs YJ Babst 2030
In the first semifinal game in the Varsity Club Division it was two of Yellow Jackets elite teams between the 29s of YJ Friedman and the 30s of YJ Babst! This one went in favor of the freshman of YJ Friedman as they managed to jump out to an early lead and controlled the pace on their way to an 11–5 victory. Friedman built a 7–3 advantage by halftime and continued to apply pressure in the second half, using balanced scoring and a second half goalie performance for the ages to keep Babst from mounting a comeback and advance to the championship game.
Offensively Lainie Friedman was the quarterback with a five-point performance, tallying two goals and three assists while orchestrating the offense throughout the game. Olivia Leopardi added three points on a goal and two assists, and Avery Needle added a multi-goal effort to give YJ Friedman production from multiple spots. Scoring one goal each was Cassidy Ferrara, Molly McNamara, Natalie Takacs, Piper Brawley, Sophia Enea, and Karstyn LoRusso. Nicole Manolakes distributed two assists and adding one assist was Sarah Paci. On the defensive end YJ Friedman was equally impressive. In the ground game Taylor Errante, Summer O’Neill, and Payton Brzeski each recorded multiple ground balls, while in goal, Natalie Barth was outstanding, meeting the moment under the bright lights. Standing tall she made 11 saves and allowed just two goals while playing in the second half against a supremely talented offense, finishing with an astounding 85% save percentage.
YJ Babst was paced offensively by Ava Ciofrone, who accounted for two goals, and Addison Chartrand, who added a goal and an assist while consistently generating opportunities. Mackenzie Klammer and Vivienne Speidell each chipped in goals, while Ally Voss recorded one assist and won two of three draw controls. Leading the team with three ground balls each was Klammer and Maggie Giachetti. Playing in goal in the second half was Shay Falvey where she stopped four shots with a 50% save percentage.
Team 91 Roar 2029 vs YJ Gaghan Torre 2027

Team 91 Roar jumped out early with a strong first half, building a 6–3 lead at the break, but YJ Gaghan Torre responded with a five-goal second half to keep the game within one possession until the final whistle. The victory for 91 clinched their second straight appearance in the championship game. Juliet Diorio paced the 91 offense with a hat trick, while Avah Robinson added three points on two goals and an assist, converting key opportunities when Roar looked to gain separation. Kayley Obloj chipped in a goal and an assist, and Addison Fox and Sarah Flynn each found the back of the cage to round out the scoring. As a defensive unit it was Diorio along with Vanessa Novelli creating four turnovers each, with three ground balls to lead the team, followed by two caused turnovers forced by Samantha Miale. In net, Lily Gentile and Lily Parasmo combined efforts, with Gentile stopping four shots and Parasmo coming up with key saves late to preserve the narrow win. Ultimately, Team 91 Roar’s early offensive surge and ability to answer each push from Gaghan proved to be the difference in a competitive, back-and-forth battle. YJ Gaghan Torre was led offensively by Katelynn Murtha (USF), who turned in a standout performance with four goals consistently pressuring the defense and finishing in big moments. Additional scoring came from balanced contributors, including a two-goal effort from Reagan Schindler and Tierney McEntee and strong distribution from Violet Ortenzi (Furman), who dished out two assists. Defensively, Gaghan was active on the ball, forcing turnovers and battling in the middle of the field, while Grace Belmonte anchored the back end in goal with 10 saves on 19 shots faced to keep her team within striking distance.Manhasset Varsity vs Northport
One of Nassau’s top teams faced one of Suffolk’s top teams between Manhasset and Northport and this one certainly did not disappoint! Manhasset escaped with a one goal win over Northport, 9–8, in a tightly contested battle that came down to execution in the final minutes. Manhasset led by as many as three goals in the first half and held a 4–2 advantage at halftime, but after seeing the Tigers rally and take an 8-7 lead late in the game, they answered with two goals in the closing minutes to secure the one-goal win.
Danielle Perfetto (Brown) returned for Manhasset with a three-goal performance, consistently finishing her chances and providing a steady offensive presence and won all three draw controls taken. Autumn Maley added two goals of her own, while Beatrice Sim, Audrey Shen (Columbia), Michaela Filipski, and Riley Williams chipped in one goal apiece to round out the scoring. Shen delivered the go-ahead goal with just over a minute remaining and was also impactful between the lines, contributing on draws and helping Manhasset control key possessions, while Megan Sica added an assist.
Northport made things interesting in the second half behind a big performance from Kaleigh Howard (Old Dominion), who netted three goals on four shots to spark the comeback. Kate Atkinson (Vanderbilt) was a major playmaker with four points on two goals and two assists, while Riley Cash (Ohio State) added two goals and worked hard in the midfield. Charlotte Radigan contributed a goal and an assist, helping Northport close the gap late. Natalie Barth saved all three shots on cage in her time in the second half helping Northport climb back into the game.
Tsunami Varsity vs Sayville
Tsunami Varsity put together a strong, wire-to-wire performance to earn a 15–7 victory over Sayville, jumping out to an 8–4 lead at halftime and maintaining control throughout the second half. Tsunami’s balanced offensive attack and ability to capitalize on possessions proved to be the difference as they steadily extended their advantage after the break.
Offensively, Tsunami was led by a pair of five-point outings from Lilly Davenport (Villanova) and Cameron Pokorny (UVA). Davenport finished with five goals, showing a clinical touch around the cage, while Pokorny matched her production with four goals and an assist. Quin Chandler (Harvard) added a big all-around performance with three goals and an assist, and Anna Von Kennel (Florida) was a catalyst as a distributor, tallying four assists to go along with a goal. Morgan Hite (Cornell) with one goal and one assist, Ava Cesare one goal and one assist, and Carleigh Mascis with two assists helped keep the offense flowing with contributions across the field. Defensively, Tsunami did a solid job limiting second-chance opportunities and forcing turnovers, while their goaltending tandem of Molly Spellman and Addison Horn combined for timely stops to keep Sayville from gaining momentum.
Sayville was paced by a standout showing from Morgan Farrell (Hopkins), who accounted for five points on four goals and an assist while also impacting the game defensively with ground balls, draw control, and caused turnovers. Olivia DeSimone (FSU) added three points on a goal and two assists, and Olivia Razzano (UMass) chipped in with a goal and an assist. Rounding out the scoring for Sayville was one goal scored by Jenna Messina (Coastal Carolina). The defense for the Golden Flashes saw two caused turnovers each forced by DeSimone and Madelyn Andersen.
Sacred Heart vs Smithtown East
Sacred Heart set the tone early and never looked back, earning a convincing 12–4 win over Smithtown East Varsity after building an 8–2 halftime advantage. Strong pressure on both ends of the field and a balanced scoring effort allowed Sacred Heart to control the tempo throughout, limiting Smithtown East’s offensive opportunities while capitalizing on key possessions.
The Sacred Heart attack was led by a dominant performance from Maeve Ledwith, who finished with five goals on eight shots while also making her presence felt in multiple areas on the field, dominating in the ground game with a game-high 10 ground balls. Kylie Gorman was equally impactful, posting six points on four goals and two assists while converting all of her free-position chances. Katie Kassap provided a spark on both ends of the field, scoring a goal along with two caused turnovers, and Kylie Lewis added a goal and an assist while contributing on the draw and between the lines. Mya Farrelly also produced a solid all-around game with a goal and an assist to help maintain offensive balance. Defensively, Sacred Heart forced turnovers and limited second chances, with consistent pressure across the midfield. Goalie Jordan Solis anchored the unit with five saves on nine shots to help keep Smithtown East in check.
For Smithtown East, the eighth grader Evelyn Avery led the offense in scoring with two goals while Kaelin Stack and Riley Fleming (Marist) each found the back of the net once. Kloe Ferreri facilitated the attack with two assists. In the ground game Devyn Fleming showed great activity as she led the team with four ground balls.
Rocky Point vs Commack
For the second time this winter Rocky Point and Commack faced each other and it was once again the Eagles of Rocky Point coming away with the victory. This one saw them fall behind early 5-0 before closing out the first half strong to pull within 6-5, and continued to carry the momentum in the second half to pull away from Commack, earning an 11–8 win to close out the winter league with a win. Rocky Point’s balanced scoring and improved defensive proved to be the difference, as they outscored Commack 6–2 over the final period to secure the victory.
Logan Poli the freshman continued to impress for Rocky Point, delivering a very strong offensive outing with four goals consistently breaking down the defense and drawing key free-position opportunities. Abigail Hansen added a hat-trick, while Jenna Giorlando chipped in two goals in timely moments. Kaleigh Moeller (FSU) was outstanding in all phases, finishing with two goals and three assists for a game-high five points while also controlling the draw with four draw controls. In net, Makayla Blaising came up with six saves, ending what was an impressive winter league with 31 saves while splitting time and a save percentage just under 50%.
Commack was paced offensively by Sarah Franke (UConn), who scored three goals and battled through contact to create chances, and Leah Cohen (LIU), who added two goals. Samantha Benedict (VCU) facilitated the offense with four assists, keeping Commack competitive through the first half, while Ashley Arizonis contributed two goals and two draw control wins. Scoring one goal and dishing out one assist was Ava Kolomechuk. Defensively freshman Valentina Ruffino recorded two takeaways to lead the team in that category.
St. Anthony’s 2028 vs Excelsior
St. Anthony’s built a commanding first-half lead and held off a late push from Excelsior Free Agents to earn a 14–9 win. The Friars came out firing, putting up nine goals in the opening half to take control early, before Excelsior showed resilience with a six-goal second half. Despite the surge, St. Anthony’s composure and depth proved to be the difference as they closed out a well-earned victory.
Fabiana Gallagher continued to turn heads with her offensive game and was the clear offensive catalyst for St. Anthony’s, delivering a scintillating performance with five goals and three assists for a game-high eight points while consistently picking apart the defense and creating high quality shots. Emily Gowen was also very impactful, tallying two goals and two assists, and Zoe Nolan added two goals and an assist while stretching the defense. Anneliese Judice chipped in with two goals and an assist, and Sophia Flanagan, Kate Dolphin, and Sarah Ullrich each contributed a goal, highlighting the Friars’ balanced offense. Defensively, Kate Dolphin stood out with six ground balls and strong work on the draw circle, while Sophia Sheridan tallied three ground balls and was excellent in the clearing game. Coming away with a game-high four caused turnovers was Grace Murphy to give the team extra offensive possessions. Grace Cunningham anchored the unit in goal with seven saves, including several timely stops during Excelsior’s second-half run.
Excelsior was led offensively by a trio of strong performances, with Sophia Caramico scoring three goals as a product of great off-ball movement scoring off of assists. Fiona Haddock was all over the field, posting a goal and two assists while adding three ground balls, and Sophia Enea contributed two goals and an assist to spark the comeback effort. Emma Fernandes added two goals and controlled key moments on the draw, while Katie Kassap chipped in an assist and made plenty of plays between the lines with four ground balls. Also coming up with four ground balls was Josie Rebuth tied for the team lead. Goalie Saylor Hopper matched Cunningham with seven saves, keeping Excelsior competitive down the stretch.
St. Anthony’s 2027 vs South Side
The first semifinal game of the evening in the Varsity AA Division featured the St. Anthony’s juniors and the South Side Cyclones and 40 minutes of play wasn’t enough to decide a winner as this one headed to overtime! St. Anthony’s edged South Side in a tightly contested matchup after rallying from multiple four goal deficits, pulling out a 10–9 victory. After trailing 4-0 and 5-1, the Friars came back to even the game at six goals apiece at halftime. Both teams traded runs throughout the second half, but in the end it was Chloe Mullady scoring the game winner in OT to send the Friars to the championship!
Beau Davi (BU) paced the Friars offensively with a strong all-around effort, scoring three goals while also contributing three ground balls. Fabiana Gallagher continued her productive play with two goals and two assists, consistently facilitating the offense and creating opportunities in critical moments. Chloe Mullady (Georgetown) added two goals, saving her second one for the biggest of moments, and Keira Steck (Hofstra) chipped in two goals, including a key finish during the second-half push. Melania Moreo (Binghamton) found the back of the net once and was active on the draw and defensively between the lines. In goal, St. Anthony’s relied on a combined effort, with Margaret Lynch (Manhattan) delivering a standout performance by making seven saves on 10 shots for a 70% save rate, playing in the second half and in overtime, helping them complete the comeback. Grace Belmonte also contributed with five saves earlier in the contest. Defensively, Juliana Gandolfo (Villanova) and Cassandra Rhodes (American) each scooped up three ground balls, helping St. Anthony’s win key possessions late.
South Side was led by a balanced scoring attack, with Kiera McNamara netting two goals and Skye Korten (Albany) posting two goals and an assist who helped jump start the Cyclones offense to give them the four goal advantage in the first half. Juliet Diorio (USF) was impactful all over the field, finishing with two goals, five ground balls, and one caused turnover, while Olivia Mayerhofer added a goal and generated multiple scoring chances. Lauren Lozitio delivered an impactful game on the defensive end with two ground balls along with two caused turnovers.
Ward Melville vs Eastport South Manor
Closing out Saturday evening was the second semifinal game in the Varsity AA Division between the Patriots and the Sharks. Ward Melville pulled out a hard-fought 7–6 victory over Eastport South Manor in a tightly contested matchup that saw momentum swing throughout both halves. ESM jumped out to a 4–3 halftime lead, but Ward Melville responded with a composed second-half effort, outscoring ESM 4–2 to secure the one-goal win and advance to the championship game!
The Patriots were led offensively by a balanced attack, with Nicole Manolakes finishing with a goal and two assists while also contributing four ground balls. Maggie Giachetti and Vivienne Speidell each scored twice, with Giachetti adding five ground balls and a draw control to impact the game on both ends of the field. Keira Pirozzi (Marist) was another key contributor, tallying two goals and consistently pressuring the ESM defense. Aliya Leonard (Yale) facilitated the offense effectively, recording two assists and helping Ward Melville move the ball efficiently. Defensively, the Patriots were active off the ball, forcing turnovers and winning ground ball battles. Maeve McKay (Bryant) and Giavanna Parente (Campbell) each caused turnovers, while the team collectively scooped up 26 ground balls to ESM’s 13.
Eastport South Manor was paced by Lauren Valenti (Saint Leo) and Taylor Murtha (Sacred Heart), who each scored twice to keep ESM within striking distance. Katelynn Murtha (USF) made her presence felt all over the field, finishing with a goal while leading the team with four ground balls and three draw controls, and finding the back of the net once was Cara Oliver. In the net the Sharks saw the trio of Julia Ver Straten, Amelia Grausso, and Lydia Deptuch, combine for eight saves, with a 50% save percentage for Ver Straten, and a 67% save percentage for Grausso.
Eastport South Manor vs South Side
The first game of the day on the final Sunday of the winter league featured Eastport South Manor against South Side in a Suffolk vs Nassau clash. ESM pulled away in the second half to earn a 12–5 win over South Side after a tightly contested opening 20 minutes. After falling behind 3-1 early in the game, ESM ended the first half on a 3-0 scoring run to take a slim 4–3 advantage at the break before erupting for eight second-half goals, using strong possession play and balanced scoring to create separation down the stretch and end the winter league victorious.
Katelynn Murtha (USF)led the way for ESM with a dominant all-around performance, finishing with four goals and an assist while also controlling the draw circle with three draw controls. Lauren Valenti (Saint Leo) and Kate Valenti (Saint Leo) each added three points, with Lauren scoring twice and dishing out an assist, and Kate contributing two goals and an assist while picking up five ground balls. Taylor Murtha (Sacred Heart) chipped in two goals, while Alexa Quiery played a key role as a facilitator, recording two assists and helping keep the offense flowing. Rounding out the scoring for the Sharks was one goal each for Ella Schopp and Ella Dragonette. Defensively, they were active and disruptive, forcing turnovers and winning ground ball battles. Makayla Coyle (Cortland) Sarah Langdon (Binghamton), Lauren Valenti and Mya Quinn each made their presence felt defensively with multiple caused turnovers. In goal, ESM used a three-goalie rotation, with Lydia Deptuch standing out by stopping three of four shots she faced during a strong second-half stretch.
South Side was led offensively by the jaw-dropping freshman Juliet Diorio, who netted a team-high three goals and added three ground balls. Caitlin McNulty (UMass Lowell) was instrumental in the attack, posting a goal and three assists while also collecting five ground balls. Charly Testerman added a goal, and the South Side defense battled throughout with Reese Long securing three ground balls and Diorio causing two turnovers.
FLG Navy 2028 vs Top-Tier
FLG Navy set the tone early and never looked back, rolling past Top-Tier Free Agents 20–9 behind a dominant offensive showing and balanced production throughout the lineup. Navy jumped out to a 10–4 halftime lead and matched that output in the second half, consistently winning possessions and capitalizing in transition to keep a comfortable lead throughout the game and conclude the winter league with a win.
Ashley Arizonis was the catalyst for FLG Navy, delivering a video-game like performance with seven goals and an assist, repeatedly breaking down the defense and finishing at ease. Stella Efstathiou orchestrated the offense with a team-high six points on two goals and four assists, while Addison Held added six points of her own with three goals and three assists. Navy also received strong contributions from multiple lines, including Kiera McNamara with a hat-trick and one assist, Kennedy Murnane adding two goals and one assist, Kelsey Ambrosio (FDU) scoring two goals and Ireland Pinner adding one goal and one assist highlighting the depth and balance of the offense. In the ground game FLG was led by Ambrosio with a team-high seven ground balls, and she was also impactful on the draw circle winning three of four draw controls. Molly Giordano was in the cage and totaled five saves in the game.
Top-Tier was led offensively by Sophia Enea, who paced the team with three goals, while Kayla Innes posted three points on two goals and an assist. Emma Fernandez added two goals and was active on the draw, Sophia Caramico chipped in a goal and an assist, and Emmy Iandorio added one goal. Adding a team-high four ground balls was Kayla Innes followed by three each from Sophia Caramico and Katie Kassap. On the draw circle Kassap provided a strong game for Top-Tier, winning three of four draw controls.
GC Tradition 2028 vs Team 91 Avalanche 2028
Game three on the day was a 2028 club battle between Tradition and 91 Avalanche, and in this one GC Tradition outlasted 91 in a tightly contested matchup, pulling away late for a 13–10 victory after the teams were deadlocked 6–6 at halftime. Both sides traded runs throughout the opening half, but Tradition’s ability to finish possessions and make key plays down the stretch proved to be the difference as the game wore on. Arianna Lanzello and Meredith Read each netted four goals to lead the charge, consistently finding space and converting key opportunities. Ava Reni played a pivotal all-around role with a goal and three assists, while Kiley Barry added three points of her own with two goals and one assist. Ava Oppedisano also contributed two goals, helping Tradition create separation late as their offense clicked in transition. Defensively Stella Trillhaase was a game-changer, scooping up a game-high six ground balls with two caused turnovers and great individual defense. Team 91 Avalanche was led by a strong offensive showing from Madison Paccione, who finished with three goals while also contributing on the draw with three draw controls, and Kelsie Lanning, who had a game-high five points on one goal and four assists to spark the offense. Delia Pawlak added three points, scoring twice with one assist, and made her presence felt defensively, while Ella Stuart chipped in two goals and was active between the lines. In goal, Makayla Blaising once again stood tall, making 16 saves on 28 shots for a 57% save percentage to keep Avalanche within striking distance throughout. In six games played this winter Blaising was nothing short of a brick wall, totaling 53 saves which was tied for the most of any goalie this winter.GC Tradition 2031 vs Team 91 Crush 2031
In the Middle School Division Championship Game it was two of Long Island’s best in the 2031 class between GC Tradition and Team 91 Crush. This one was a rematch from week two and this time around it was GC Tradition rallying back from a five goal deficit to defeat Team 91 Crush 13–12 in double overtime to win the championship! Team 91 jumped out to a 5-0 lead, but Tradition rallied back to make it just a one goal game at the half with 91 leading 6-5. In the second half GC Tradition fell behind by three, but once again stormed back to force overtime where it was Claire Coelen delivering the heroics with the game winner in the second overtime!
Coelen led the way for GC Tradition with a masterful offensive performance, finishing with six goals and an assist while consistently converting in high-pressure moments, showing that she has ice in her veins and delivers when the lights are at it’s brightest. Liesl Leder added a hat trick, while Lillian Coratti, Erin Groarke and Cecilia Szabo each chipped in timely goals, with Coratti scoring the clutch 8-meter goal just before the end of regulation to tie up the game and set the stage for the dramatic finish! Colleen Bennett played a key facilitating role with two assists and four ground balls along with two caused turnovers, and Brae McDonough made an impact in the midfield, contributing on the draw with three wins, and three ground balls.
Team 91 Crush was paced by strong efforts from Harley Leake and Reese Chirico, who each stuffed the stat sheet and made big plays throughout the game. The duo posted four points each with three goals and an assist, while Leake was a ground ball machine with a game-high eight ground balls, and Chirico was exceptional on the draw, winning five of seven draw controls. Holly Schenkel continued to be a prolific scorer like she’s been all winter, also tallying a hat-trick. Rounding out the scoring with one goal each was Kelsey Lynch, Siena Massaro, and Brooke Varian.
YJ Babst 2030 vs YJ Gaghan Torre 2027
In a YJ vs YJ clash the 2030s of YJ Babst stepped up in class to face 2027s of YJ Gaghan Torre, and it was the young guns of Babst who pulled away in the second half to earn a tremendous 12–6 win over YJ Gaghan Torre! They used a balanced offensive attack and strong defensive play to turn a competitive first half into a comfortable victory. Babst led 7–4 at the break and continued to apply pressure after halftime, outscoring Gaghan 5–2 over the final stretch to seal the result.
Addison Chartrand was a smooth operator on the offensive end for YJ Babst, finishing with four goals and an assist while consistently finding space and converting high quality looks. Julia Babst made her impact felt as both a scorer and facilitator, tallying two goals and two assists to help keep the offense flowing. Mackenzie Klammer added a pair of goals and an assist from the midfield, while Maggie Giachetti chipped in two goals, two assists, and controlled the ground game with four ground balls. Providing one goal each was Gabby Surdi and Ava Ciofrone to round out the scoring. Defensively Alaina Hollingsworth came away with three takeaways and in net, Shay Falvey anchored the defensive effort in the second half with four saves and just two goals allowed with a 67% save percentage, helping Babst limit second-half opportunities.

Tsunami JV vs Bayport JV
The championship game of the JV division saw Tsunami put together a commanding, wire-to-wire performance, rolling past Bayport 17–5 behind a balanced scoring effort and strong play on both ends of the field. Tsunami jumped out early with an eight-goal first half and showed no signs of slowing down after the break, adding nine more goals while limiting Bayport’s offensive chances.
Ellery Kraus led the way offensively for Tsunami with a standout five-point outing, finishing with three goals and two assists while consistently creating scoring opportunities. Avery Tamberrino matched that production with two goals and three assists, showcasing excellent vision and poise with the ball in her stick. Caroline Reidy and Quinlan MacColl each added multiple goals, with Reidy burying three and MacColl chipping in two while also controlling the midfield with ground balls. Ada Rossi poured in two goals and two assists, and Kelty Shea scored once with one assist and five draw controls as both were key contributors, helping Tsunami control possession and tempo throughout the game. Defensively, Tsunami limited Bayport to just five goals, with goalie Caroline Morrison turning in a stout performance in net, stopping five shots and anchoring a defense that forced turnovers and won key ground balls.

The stage was set for a rematch in the championship game of the Varisty Club Division between two of the elite programs in the 2029 class between YJ Friedman and Team 91 Roar! YJ Friedman edged Team 91 Roar in a tightly contested 7–6 overtime victory in a game that was back-and-forth from the opening draw. Both teams were deadlocked 3–3 at halftime as YJ Friedman rallied back from an early 3-0 deficit, and matched each other goal for goal in the second half. This set up for a dramatic overtime finish where YJ Friedman found the decisive moment with Lainie Friedman scoring the game-winner assisted by Avery Needle to secure the win and a second straight winter league championship!
Overall Friedman put together another big time performance for YJ Friedman, turning in a dominant offensive showing with four goals and one assist, saving her fourth goal for the biggest moment of the game. She consistently created separation and finished in the clutch while never rattling under pressure. Molly McNamara added a strong two-point effort with a goal and an assist, while Sloane Massa and Nicole Manolakes each found the back of the net, providing timely scoring support. Avery Needle, Karstyn LoRusso, and Sophia Enea each chipped in assists, with the feed by Needle leading to the overtime game-winner. Defensively Summer O’Neill recorded three ground balls with a caused turnover, providing great play between the lines, and in net, YJ Friedman leaned on strong goaltending from Natalie Barth, who stopped six shots and posted a 67% save percentage, helping keep Team 91 Roar off the board during crucial stretches.

In the Varsity AA Championship Game the Friars and the Patriots went head-to-head as the last two teams standing! St. Anthony’s pulled away in the second half to earn a 12–8 victory over Ward Melville after a competitive opening frame that saw the Friars hold a slim 6–5 lead at the break. Ward Melville came out strong early and traded punches throughout the first half, but St. Anthony’s depth, ball movement, and efficiency on offense proved to be the difference as they outscored Ward Melville 6–3 in the second half to close out the game for the championship!
Melania Moreo (Binghamton) led the charge for St. Anthony’s with a standout all-around performance, finishing with three goals while also making an impact in the midfield with three ground balls and four draw controls. Chloe Mullady (Georgetown) was a key playmaker, totaling one goal and three assists to pace the offense and consistently set up teammates in scoring positions. Fabiana Gallagher added two goals and was active all over the field with five ground balls, while Keira Steck (Hofstra) and Estee Mihos each chipped in two goals, providing balanced scoring across the attacking unit. Kate Paul (Rider) and Beau Davi (BU) each contributed a goal and an assist, highlighting the Friars’ unselfish offensive approach.
Ward Melville was led offensively by the freshman Nicole Manolakes, who turned in a strong outing with three goals and an assist, accounting for half of her team’s scoring and converting multiple free-position opportunities. Keira Pirozzi (Marist) added two goals and an assist, while Maeve McKay (Bryant), Briana Tomicic and Vivienne Speidell each found the back of the net. Defensively, Maggie Giachetti battled in the midfield with two ground balls and key draw controls.
St. Anthony’s 2026 vs Westhampton Varsity
The first of two semifinal games in the Varsity AAA Division was the Friars taking on the Hurricanes. The St. Anthony’s Seniors edged Westhampton in a hard-fought matchup, securing a 9–7 victory after making just enough plays in the second half. The Friars took a 4–3 lead into halftime after trailing 2-0 and continued to apply steady offensive pressure after the break, answering every Westhampton push to maintain control down the stretch.
Emma Speed (Florida) led the way offensively for St. Anthony’s, finishing with a game-high four goals, consistently creating scoring opportunities and converting in key moments. Anna Christie (Notre Dame) played a pivotal role as the primary facilitator, tallying one goal and a remarkable six assists to pace the offense and keep the ball moving. Cameron Pupke (Princeton) added a goal and was strong in the midfield, contributing on the draw with four controls, while Madison Sussi (UMass) and Fabiana Gallagher each chipped in goals to round out the Friars’ scoring. Defensively, St. Anthony’s won the ground ball battle 25-11 and limited second-chance opportunities, helping preserve the lead. Christie, Cassandra Rhodes (American) and Sophia Novelli (Vanderbilt) each forced two turnovers to help spark the team in transition.
Westhampton was paced by Mia Mastropierro, who scored three goals to ignite the offense. Mackenzie Klammer added a goal and an assist, while Josephine Derby was a key distributor with three assists. Teagan Dorn and Tierney McEntee (LIU) each found the back of the net, and Maiya Boughal (Dartmouth) contributed on both ends of the field with a goal and strong defensive work and in the caused turnover department Summer O’Neill created two takeaways for the Hurricanes defense. In goal, Mia Brown (Maryland) turned in an elite performance with 11 saves, and a 55% save percentage keeping Westhampton within striking distance throughout the game.
Bayport Varsity vs Garden City
The second semifinal game featured two powerhouses between the Phantoms and the Trojans, and in a rematch from week one of the winter league it was Bayport Blue Point who put together a strong all-around performance to earn a 12–7 win over Garden City, jumping out to a 7–2 halftime lead and maintaining control throughout the second half. Bayport’s quick start set the tone, as the offense capitalized on early possessions and the defense limited Garden City’s opportunities to generate momentum as they punched their ticket to the championship game!
Liliana May (UMass) led the way for Bayport with a game-high three goals, consistently finding space and finishing efficiently. Sara Richardt (Binghamton) added two goals, while Olivia Brady (Clemson) chipped in a pair as well to provide balanced scoring. Eva Carvalho (Albany) was the catalyst offensively, dishing out three assists and helping orchestrate the attack, while Kailey Bruckner (Towson) and Liliana LiPuma (LIU) each posted a goal and an assist. Bayport also got key contributions from Kaelyn Aiello and Charlotte Bishop, who each found the back of the net, as the Blue Point offense spread the scoring load effectively.
Garden City’s offense saw their seven goals scored by seven different players which included Regan Backer (UVA), Kiera Ruoff, Katie Horn (Bucknell), Ella Clark, Kimberly Colucci (William & Mary), Amanda Backer, and Averie Smith (Yale).
Garden City vs Westhampton Varsity
In the third place game in the Varsity AAA Division it was Nassau vs Suffolk between Garden City and Westhampton. Garden City built a strong first-half lead and held off a second-half push from Westhampton to earn a 12–8 victory. The Trojans jumped out early, scoring eight goals in the opening half to take control, while Westhampton stayed within striking distance with four of their own. Both teams matched each other with four goals apiece in the second half, but Garden City’s early offensive surge proved to be the difference.A balanced attack powered Garden City offensively, led by Averie Smith (Yale), who delivered a standout performance with two goals and three assists for five points. Michaela Molgano (UPenn) added three points on two goals and an assist, while Regan Backer (UVA), Ali Bennett (Holy Cross), and Grace Brantuk (Cornell) helped keep constant pressure on the Westhampton defense. Defensively Ciara Hegarty (Holy Cross) provided strong one-on-one defense, while in goal Teagan Gately made timely stops to preserve the lead.
Westhampton saw a pair of multi-goal efforts from Mia Mastropierro and Tierney McEntee (LIU), who each scored twice, while Reagan Schindler (Coastal Carolina), Maiya Boughal (Dartmouth), Emma Luzim (Winthrop), and Lily Krentzman also found the back of the net. On the draw Boughal provided a steady presence, winning three of six draw controls.
Bayport Varsity vs St. Anthony’s 2026
It came down to the Phantoms and the Friars in the Varsity AAA Championship Game in a must-see matchup! Bayport narrowly defeated the St. Anthony’s seniors in a tightly contested matchup, pulling out a 9–8 win after coming back from a three goal deficit in the first half to win the championship against the reigning back-to-back champions! After the Phantoms fell behind 4-1 early, the teams were deadlocked at 4–4 at halftime, setting the stage for a competitive final period in which Bayport outscored St. Anthony’s 5–4 to secure the one-goal victory. Bayport’s offense was sparked by a dominant showing from Kailey Bruckner (Towson), who has delivered strong play all winter and saved her best game for the biggest moment, netting five goals which included the go-ahead goal with just over two minutes remaining and consistently broke down the St. Anthony’s defense. Eva Carvalho (Albany) contributed a goal and an assist, while Olivia Brady (Clemson), Liliana May (UMass), and Camryn Bruckner chipped in timely goals to give Bayport the playmaking they needed to come away victorious. The defense which has always been the Phantoms calling card, played at a high level, keeping an explosive Friars offense in check, turning St. Anthony’s over 15 times which included multiple charges drawn that were momentum saving plays. In goal was eighth grader Olivia Mullins and she certainly met the moment of the big game, coming up with save after save including some from point blank range to deny the Friars the momentum shifting goals. St. Anthony’s leaned heavily on its top offensive contributors, led by Cameron Pupke (Princeton), who delivered a standout four-goal performance while controlling the draw circle throughout the game. Emma Speed (Florida) recorded two goals and two assists for four points, while Anna Christie (Notre Dame) facilitated the offense with three assists and a goal. Meadow Szillus (Stony Brook) added a goal to round out the scoring. The Friars defense saw a game-high four caused turnovers from Sophia Novelli (Vanderbilt) as well as four ground balls, making big play after big play between the lines, keeping the team within reach the entire way.YJ Maget Bertolone 2028 vs Mt. Sinai
Closing out Championship Sunday was the Varsity A Division Championship Game between two undefeated in YJ Maget Bertolone and the Mount Sinai Mustangs. It was the YJ 2028s who put together a strong all-around performance to earn a 12–8 win over Mount Sinai, building a 7–3 halftime lead and holding off a second-half push to close out the victory and the championship! After controlling the pace early, YJ Maget matched Mount Sinai’s five-goal second half to maintain separation and secure the four-goal win.The offense was powered by a dominant outing from Nora Ruddy, who not only delivers big games individually but also elevates those around her. Capping off the winter league Ruddy finished with seven points on four goals and three assists while also making her presence felt in the draw circle with four controls. In games played with YJ Maget Ruddy totaled 27 points which was good for the fourth most in the entirety of the league. Addison Kelly added three points on two goals and an assist, while Katie Murphy was very efficient with two goals and two assists. Jennavieve Lineman chipped in two goals, and Kloe Ferreri and Fabiana Gallagher each found the back of the net to round out a balanced scoring effort. Natalie Yoo contributed as a facilitator with two assists. Defensively and in transition, YJ Maget was active throughout, forcing turnovers and winning key possessions. Ruddy also contributed five loose balls, while Juliet Johnson was solid in goal during her time between the pipes, stopping three shots and allowing three goals to help stabilize the defense early.
Mount Sinai showed resilience in the second half, led offensively by Lainie Friedman with two goals and an assist and Sophia Masone (Georgetown), who recorded two goals and an assist. Eighth grader Ava Ciofrone added a complete, game, stuffing the stat sheet with two goals, four ground balls and two caused turnovers. Lila Callahan (Hofstra) chipped in two assists and rounding out the scoring the scoring was one goal each from the eighth graders Addison Chartrand and Gabby Surdi.
