At number 22 in the LILJ top 26 preseason rankings it’s the Dalers of Farmingdale in Nassau Class A. This is a program that is certainly on the rise as they enter their third straight season in the power conference. Last year their season came to an end in the county semifinals, and this year they aim to take another step forward and play for a county championship and possibly more.

The Dalers come into the new season with a strong core and plenty of proven production returning after last year’s 2025 campaign. With much of the roster made up of  juniors, the Dalers are positioned to be a serious contender as experience and chemistry continues to grow.

Offensively, their attack starts with Stony Brook commit Juliann Brzeski who is one of the island’s top players in the junior class and was the team’s most prolific scorer last spring, finishing with 47 goals and 62 points. Their talented cast continues with junior Regan O’Connor committed to Maryland, one of the game’s elite defenders who posted 50 points as a midfielder with 40 goals and 10 assists. Adding to the offense are upperclassmen Jessica Reo (Le Moyne), Julianna Roberts (Wagner) and Catherine Meyer (Pace) giving further depth and balance. In the freshman class midfielder Molly McNamara enters year two on varsity and has already proven she can score at a high level against top competition with 40 points as an eighth grader, giving the program plenty of excitement for the next four years.

Defensively, the Dalers return several key contributors, including junior Bianca Estevez (Barry), and sophomore Emma Lembo, helping form a unit that will benefit from another year together. In goal junior Megan Caputo (UMass), now already in her third season on varsity and anchors the defense after stellar sophomore season that saw her tally 157 saves which was tied for the third most in all of Nassau County.

Getting the season started for the Dalers will be a non-league opener against Seaford on 3/17, followed by a second non-league matchup against Carle Place on 3/18 before they open up league play with a matchup against Wantagh on 3/23.

With a roster loaded with returners who already play significant roles, Farmingdale enters this season focused on continued development and consistency. If the offense builds on last year’s production and the defense takes a collective step forward, the Dalers have the pieces to be a dangerous opponent and a program on the ascension within Nassau County.
