LILJ Girl’s HSSE First Round Playoff Recap
1st Play-in Game: #8 Shoreham Wading River vs. #9 Sachem North To kick off the High School Spring Experience playoffs, Shoreham Wading River and Sachem North battled to play the number one seed Bayport in the quarter-finals. Danielle Scarfolgliero (aka Scarf) wrapped around the cage for the goal to start the game for Sachem North.

Going into the High School Spring Experience playoffs, I thought it would be a good idea to look at each matchup and discuss the teams playing and who I think will win. There are four concrete matchups in the first round so let’s talk about them!
Girls HSSE: Bayport Over Huntington, Wantagh Stuns Westhampton in Early Games
On the last day before playoffs in the girls’ High School Spring Experience at the Stony Brook Sports Complex, Bayport stayed undefeated with an 18-8 win over Huntington and Wantagh came back from a three-goal deficit in the second half to stun Westhampton 11-10.
Wantagh bests Long Beach in our final regular season Epoch Game of the Week
Our final Epoch Game of the Week for our Girls High School Spring Experience was a good one, as the Wantagh Warriors defeated the Long Beach Spring Girls by a final score of 17-7.

In week three of the girls’ high school spring experience, Bayport Blue Point took down Montauk 11-6 to maintain its undefeated record. The game was close early but Bayport pulled away late to secure the victory
