Friars 25 Move to 2-0 with Victory Over Rust & Gold


Looking to pick up their second win in pool play, the Friars 2025 team showcased their dominance with a decisive 13-4 victory over Rust & Gold. From the very beginning St. Anthony’s was in command, taking a lead of 6-2 at halftime and further extending their lead in the second half.

Key contributors for the Friars included Army commit Quinlan Langton, who scored 4 goals, and Luke Breslin the Lehigh commit, who added 2 goals and 2 assists. The team’s offensive prowess was complemented by the future Stony Brook Seawolf Dylan Smith’s face-off wins, securing 10 out of 18. Goalkeeper Sean Forde who’s committed to Utah followed up his game 1 performance with another high save percentage, this time at 71%.

Rust & Gold, saw goals in this game scored by Sam Bruno, Kevin Burns, and Jack Cutrone. The game ended with the Friars demonstrating why they will be right there in the mix to possibly play for the winter league championship in January.

Coming up this Sunday Rust & Gold will be facing Massapequa at 8:30pm, while the Friars won’t take the field again until December 17 when take on Hills at 4pm.
