Friars 25 With Convincing Victory Massapequa in High-Scoring Encounter

Back on December 3 at the Stony Brook University Indoor Complex, the Friars 25 team emerged victorious over Massapequa with a commanding score of 13-2. The game, marked by aggressive play and strategic execution, saw Friars 25 take an early lead in the first half with 7 goals, further consolidating their win with 6 more in the second half.

Key players for the Friars included Quinlan Langton the Army commit, who made a significant impact with 6 goals and 1 assist, and Luke Breslin the Lehigh commit, who contributed 2 goals and 2 assists. The future Tar Heel Gary Merrill also added 2 goals and 2 assists to the team’s impressive total. Goalkeeper Sean Forde’s performance was noteworthy, as the Utah commit was a brick wall, saving 8 shots with an 80% save rate.

For Massapequa, Tyler Byrnes and Ricky Geier each scored a goal, but the team could not match the offensive firepower of their opponents. Goalkeeper Michael Jannotte posted double digit saves as he recored 10 in the game.
