Suffolk Girls Early-Season Players That Impressed presented by East LI Fitness

See who’s making waves in Suffolk early in the 2024 season…

Mirabella Altebrando, Miller Place. Altebrando has been dissecting defenses for the 6-2 Panthers in 2024. Altebrando had 33 assists on the season, and is an uncommitted junior who is on a tear of late.

Mckenzie Moeller (Wofford W. Lax Commit)  has 42 points on the year for a red-hot Rocky Point team. RP only has 1 loss on the year to a very talented Sayville group. As Moeller continues to put up monster numbers, this very complete RP team continues to make waves in Suffolk County.

Payton Noack (Bryant W. Lax Commit) out of Center Moriches has 40 Pts & 43 DCs on the year. Noack is a fiery, lefty attacker who is a very tough cover. Center has a sneaky good team in 2024 and fighting for another trip to the LIC.

Melina Sarlo (Hofstra Commit) out of East Hampton has 32 goals on the year. Sarlo is a multi-sport stand-out who scores goals when she gets off the bus at away games and her car at home ones.

Kate Atkinson, Northport 23 goals. This super sophomore is one of the my favorite attackers on the island. Atkinson does it all on the offensive end and has been having herself a nice season for the Tigers of Northport.

Peyton Wozniak (Catholic Commit) has 19 assists for Kings Park. Wozz has been dishing and swishing in each game this year for KP. Sitting at 4-4, KP has two big one-goal wins over Babylon and Middle Country this season.

Breezy Henke, (UMass Commit) of Rocky Point has 55 Saves, leading Suffolk. Henke is a fantastic stopper for the Eagles. Love seeing Breezy shine for a very good Rocky Point squad.

Hailey Kulesa (Charlotte Commit) is a Hauppauge  native who’s racked up 42 GBs on the year. Kulesa is a three-sport star for Hauppauge and does it all for their lacrosse team. Besides being a human vacuum off the ground, she has 20 points to match. The Eagles sit at 4-4 as they approach the back-half of their schedule.

Ava Derby out of Westhampton has 15 caused turnovers on the year. Derby, just a sophomore, is a do-it-all type of midfielder for the Hurricanes. Expect Derby to continue doing the dirty work and shine throughout the Spring and into a big recruiting summer for this sophomore.
