SA 2027 Secures a Decisive Victory Against Ward Melville JV


In a fast-paced lacrosse match at the Stony Brook University Indoor Complex on Thursday evening, SA 2027 managed to take control of this game over Ward Melville JV with an impressive victory. The game began with SA 2027 taking a commanding lead, scoring nine goals in the first half while Ward Melville JV managed three. The momentum stayed with SA 2027 in the second half, where they mirrored their first-half performance with another nine goals, concluding the game with a remarkable 18-8 victory.

Key players from SA 2027 included Chloe Mullady who was the quarterback of the Friars offense, tallying four goals and two assists for six points, Beau Davi, who scored four goals, and Teagan Baker with one goal and two assists. The standout defender in this game for SA 2027 was Sierra Riepe who not only showcased her skillset on defense but also managed add a goal to the scoring column. In the goal, SA 2027’s Grace Belmonte made 8 saves with a 50% success rate.

On the Ward Melville JV side, Sadie Banks led her team with three goals and one assist, followed by Emily Weber, who scored two goals. Contributing with two ground balls for the Patriots was Keira Pirozzi.

The two teams will make their way back to Stony Brook in January for the start of the playoffs in the JV bracket.
