Westhampton JV Clinches 16-8 Victory Over Ward Melville JV

Westhampton JV and Ward Melville JV faced off in a Suffolk County clash at the Stony Brook University Indoor Complex this past Thursday. From the onset, Westhampton JV took control of the game, scoring an impressive 10 goals in the first half, while Ward Melville JV managed five. The second half saw Westhampton JV continue to assert themselves, adding six more goals to their tally. Ward Melville JV, despite their efforts, could only score three additional goals, bringing the final score to 16-8 in favor of Westhampton JV.

Outstanding performances were seen across the board. Reagan Schindler led Westhampton JV with a remarkable five goals. Mia Mastropierro and Tierney McEntee also made significant contributions, each scoring three goals and one assist. For Ward Melville JV, Sadie Banks scored four goals, and Keira Pirozzi added three goals, showcasing their skills despite the challenging match. Defender Courtney Rowe led the Patriots with two caused turnovers.

This victory improves Westhampton JV’s record to 3-0 with one more pool play game on Sunday against Bayport JV at 9:15am for the top overall seed, while Ward Melville finishes pool play with a 1-3 record going into the playoffs in January.
