LILJ Q & A with Ohio State Commit Max Eynon

Port Washington’s Max Eynon, one of the premier goalies in the entire 2027 class has recently announced his commitment to The Ohio State University. Eynon has already been a three year starter for the Vikings and is on the heels of a stellar sophomore campaign where he compiled 188 saves which was fifth in Nassau County and finished with a 70% save percentage. He’s a tremendous stopper, is exceptional in the clearing game, is a leader on defense, and displays the intangible of being able to elevate his game when the stakes are the highest. Question: How long have you been playing the sport of lacrosse? Answer: Since first grade.   Question: How would you describe going through the recruiting process once September 1st hit? Answer: It went really fast for me specially as a goalie. Schools like to move fast.   Question: What were some of the biggest factors that led to you choosing Ohio State? Answer: The academics, over school vibes, lacrosse team, and how I will be set up after I graduate.   Question: Who have been some of the biggest influences that have helped you get to where you are today? Answer: My parents, all the Shore2shore coaches.   Question: Any player or players that you try to model your game after? Answer: I take bits and pieces of a lot of goalies and implement it into my game but I don’t think there is one specific person.   Question: What are you aiming to study academically in college? Answer: Business   Question: With two years remaining to play in high school, what are some of the things you’ll be doing to continue to get better as a player for when you enter college? Answer: Continue to get faster, stronger, bigger and take as many shots as I can.   Question: What is one piece of advice you would leave for future players that will go through the recruiting process? Answer: Take your time and always be respectful and polite when on the phone with coaches.
