Supreme Lacrosse Academy – Fall Series Session 2 Recap

Supreme Lacrosse Academy hosted the second session of our Fall Series today, building on the momentum from September’s opening day. Players were challenged with new constraints, faster decision-making, and fresh competitive environments designed to help them push boundaries and grow their game.

Our mission at SLA is simple: “Reimagine Your Game.” That means encouraging athletes to try new skills, play free, be creative, take risks, and expand every area of their game.

Pride Goalie Warm-up

We always begin with 20 minutes dedicated to our goalies.

  • Focus: sharpening foundational skills to build strong habits in net.

  • Outcome: goalies leave with actionable drills they can use for training, pre-practice, or pre-game warmups.

“Sophia Landon (2031 Goalie, Plandome) does a great job attacking the ball on shots. She’s got a ton of potential at this position.” -Coach Christian, Co-Founder Supreme Lacrosse Academy

Instead of line drills, we create representative game environments with constraints that build IQ, deception, and decision-making.

This week’s constraints included:

  • Cones in front of and behind the goal

  • Every teammate touches the ball before scoring

  • Tennis balls used in every rep

  • A pick/roll trigger before shooting

Supreme trainer Olivia Mulada (Syracuse Commit) was on site at SLA session 2 showing the girls nuances of playing on the offensive end. Her IQ, awareness, skill, deception and creativity separates her from other elite attackers in the 2027 class.

Half-Field Stations

Players rotated through six game-like drills emphasizing both offense and defense:

  • Ground-ball offense

  • Swinging through X

  • Defending from up top & behind

  • Reading adjacents below GLE

  • 3-man offensive concepts

  • 2-man defensive coverages

  • Dodging to draw doubles

  • Odd-man offense & defense

  • Sliding and rotating

  • Early offense off clears

  • Playing with a shot clock

“Quinn Flaherty (2030 Defender, Massapequa) is a locked-in defender in her class. Her attention to detail, focus and tenacity on the defensive end separates her from the pack. A pleasure to coach at SLA.” -Coach Corey, Co-Founder Supreme Lacrosse Academy

Supreme Players of the Day

Presented by the Long Island Lacrosse Journal, three athletes stood out as leaders and playmakers during Session 2:

Arianna Montero

Madeline Burke

Nicole Manolakes
